Marmite, it seems you are in the "loves it" category hehe.

Yes I am - but I was lucky enough to get a hot dog at the School Fair...

    Hi Megela & LP

Thanks for your messages regarding the buffet - went well thanks, was a bit rushed on Saturday as the service was slow at the place we went for the meal and it put us half an hour behind before we even started.

But, it all got done and everyone enjoyed it (I hope). Absolutely shattered now.

Megela - hope the Moshi Monster Cake went well - sounds interesting.

Will update later and catch up with diaries.

Feel a bit calmer today, really need to get back to normal if there is such a thing.

Actually going to cook this week and feed DH properly lol.

Got a kids party to cater for on Saturday, but no where near on the scale of the Wedding Buffet I did at the weekend, so should be easy...

We are using up some leftovers in lunches this week and I am determined not to buy any meat or fish before we go away. So Chicken Stir Fry tonight.

Went to fetch our Euros today - the holiday is getting ever closer and I am really glad.

Tomorrow I am going to make our OP of £475.

    £475 OP just made...

Figures are now looking like this:

    Outstanding Mortgage: £14054.97(ish)
    Daily Interest Rate: £1.54
    Mortgage Free Date: July 2019

That OP has taken two months off - yay!

Got a stupid amount of housework to do before we go away a week on Friday, so going to concentrate on doing a bit each night - feel a bit more with it this week, so hopefully will get some stuff done.

Tonights tea is Sea Bass with a sauce made of cherry toms, lemon juice, garlic, basil & capers, will serve with some rice and veggies.

It was very nice thanks and used fish from the freezer and bits and pieces I had in the fridge - so all good there.

Took the gas and electric readings this morning and submitted them online. Still in credit for both (despite all the cooking at the weekend). +£6 on the elec and +£94 on the gas - don't mind if the gas is way in credit - good savings for the winter.

Sorted some washing this morning to put in later and tidied round the front room - little by little it will get done.

Tonights tea is Steak, HM mushroom sauce, herby potatoes and any bits of veg I can find lurking.

Shattered and it appears I have developed a cold overnight! Just in time for holidays!

Had to dig a 15ft stretch of Dad's garden yesterday as he was going on and on about it - just wanted him to shut up, so went and did it for him.

Not much on the MSE front.

Something with pasta for tea OR Paella from stuff in the freezer and fridge.

Herr A shop tonight, but only a couple of bits to get as on holiday from a week tomorrow - yipppeee - cant wait!

Hi LP - should smash that target this year - next few payments will be smaller, but we are probably going to be looking at a revised target of around £3000 for 2012.

Had an early night last night and feel a bit better today - not great - but better - hope this cold is a 48 hour thing.

Got to make chocolate fairy cakes and chocolate crispie cakes tonight for the party tomorrow - my friend is making a dozen ice cream cone cakes for tomorrow, so that saves me a job.

Had Pasta last night, so tonights tea with be Paella.

Hoping to get up the allotment on Sunday as the horse tail is trying to take over - with all the other commitments (and heart ache) i've had over the last few weeks, i've just not had the time (or the weather conditions!)

Looks like everything is coming to a close with the estate of our friend who died in January - the house is now empty and the new owners could be moving in as soon as next week - end of an era. I just hope that the new people enjoy their new home and beautiful garden.

I still have alot of his personal paperwork to sort out and we still have the small matter of the headstone for the grave (which still isn't ready). I am hoping that by the time we come back off holiday everything will be settled and we will be able to move on. Its been a long, difficult road.

Not much on the MSE front again, but hey ho!

Hope you all have good weekends.
