I think it's the build up of everything KC. Work is manic on the run up to the shutdown. Last fundraiser of the summer tonight and bids being completed before I go away. Trying to remember everything I've got to do before I go away. Sorting paperwork and making room in the house for the re-wire.
Good news is I am much better today...
DH and I had a good chat when making dinner last night and I feel better about stuff now.
CC transfer has gone through ok - phew! 12 months more of interest free.
Working my lunch today as I am leaving at 3.30pm so I can get to the fundraiser early (school fair).
Burgers for tea.
Better get on...catch up tomorrow.

Fundraiser went well and we had fun (3 girls together...).
It's a special school and the kids just make me smile - the vast majority of them are really lovely and extremely polite. I know they are hard work - but we had a great time. We also raised a reasonable amount in 2 hours!
Bit of a more relaxed day today at work.
Didn't bring any shredding with me today as I thought I would take a walk down the town at lunchtime - but it's raining and I wish I'd brought the shredding! So catching up on a few diaries instead.
Not much on the money front apart from I seem to spending quite a bit at the moment. Out with work tomorrow afternoon/night as we are out for boss's big birthday!
Need to catch up on the shopping and some washing-up before yoga tonight.
Chicken Egg Fried Rice for tea using LO chicken from Wednesday's roast.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

I am shattered and my motivation has gone...
So much to do this week and have absolutely no get up and go to get it done. Maybe if I have a good night's sleep tonight all will be better tomorrow.
Got a pile of stuff to do at work.
Need to carry on shredding and sorting.
Need to go and see if we can change the worktop we ordered.
Got quite a lot done in the garden yesterday (even if I was moving at a snail's pace) and DH got the lawns done.
50ps to be counted and banked this week - seem to have been a few go in lately.
Hope everyone is ok.
Catch up soon.

Nooo! You're right that you sound really tired - hopefully a good sleep will help. Can you portion the worst jobs out through the week, and then fill in the rest on a day by day basis? Hope you find a system that works for you

A little of my motivation has come back today. Everyone wants everything NOW! and it's difficult to prioritise.
Hectic morning and that will continue this afternoon - though I am going fora walk shortly to blow some cobwebs away.
Dropping off and picking up on the way home; then round to Mum's to see my brother and put a few plants in the front garden to replace the marigolds that have been eaten by the slugs!
We are going to review the worktop situation tomorrow and I have some charity work to do tomorrow lunchtime.
It will all get done I am sure - feeling a bit better about it all - just wish it wasn't quite as hot in the office (the only air-con we have are doors and windows and we are on the first floor, so the heat is rising up...
Time for that walk.

Not much sleep last night - but don't feel too bad (fortunately).
Continuous stream of work this morning (but not pushing too hard at the moment) - just working my way through being as there aren't many people in the office. Thought I'd have 5 minutes on here as a break.
Charity work to be completed at lunchtime - I know what I'm doing now, so should be fairly straight forward.
Going to see if I can change the worktop tonight...hope so, it's making tile selection difficult.
Feeling a little more positive, starting to get my mojo back - but still lots to do before we break up from work - it's steadily getting done but bound to go nuts on the last day.
Chicken Casserole in the SC - will be a light one with plenty of leftovers for the freezer for when we have no kitchen.
Happy Hump Day all.

Just realised things were a little quiet in MCI-land so thought I'd pop in and check up on you - are you off on your holibobs? Hope you're having/had a lovely time! xa penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. Hi everyone...
I had an absolutely fantastic time in Greece...missed DH a huge amount, but still had alot of fun with my Godfather - he's such a bad influence :rotfl: Swimming in the sea, eating fabulous food, visiting a few sights and drinking a small amount of wine and ouzo (thought the last activity may be drastically understated :rotfl:) But it also did him a power of good too seeing as he looked after his wife for a long time before she passed away in April, plus everything you have to deal with afterwards which for him included an extended stay from one family member once he had returned to Greece for the summer. Had a lovely e-mail off him saying that I can come to stay anytime as I am the best guest ever!
I'll have to see if I can post some pics at some point - it was beautiful, relaxing and fun (and extremely thrifty even though I paid my own way I only spent 2/3 of what I took away - so cheap! - even taking the drop in exchange rate into consideration)
At home, the re-wiring has been done and we ripped the kitchen out before I went away. Plaster has all come off the walls - so there is an added expense there...we think we have chosen the tiles and the kitchen and dishwasher are being delivered this weekend and the cooker the week after.
It's all coming together, but highly stressful for DH as he's trying to co-ordinate tradesmen. He's really pleased I'm back so I can take up some of the slack.
We have never been apart that long and I think it has done us some good - not that there was anything bad - just cemented a few things in minds that are perhaps normally taken for granted.
Need to ring the cooker company today to confirm delivery and need to choose sink and taps. We still need to make a final decision about whether we change the floor or not. All jobs for this week.
Back to work and really not feeling the love - I think my time away and various conversations that were had have tipped my plans slightly - there is no rush - but I need to think carefully about what changes I need to make to my working life in 2017.
Hope everyone is well.

So, just been doing some adding up and taking away.
£300 added to Kitchen Fund before my holiday
£753.86 spent by DH on re-wire etc.. while I was away
Also - credit card purchases to be paid when bill comes in
- Paid for the kitchen on my cashback credit card (nearly went over my credit limit - had to pay £20 quickly)
- Paid for cooker, splash back and cooker hood on nectar credit card
- Dishwasher ordered and paid for on nectar credit card
Saved £421 by ordering cooker etc through the manufacturer - work discount (whoop!) - good job with all the extra expenses
Things are progressing nicely I think although DH is still a little stressed.
Oh, and I counted 50ps - have over £40 to pay in.
