It's the plant sale tomorrow! Very best of luck with it all, you've worked really hard :)

Thanks KC - we all work really hard.

We took the plants to our fundraiser yesterday too. Not too many left now - need to do some re-potting to see if I can nurture some of the tired looking ones and make them saleable for our last push - a local school fair next week.

Absolutely shattered after the weekend - I've come back to work for a sit down!!!

Saturday's task list got longer - had to get a new tyre for the charity van and get some point of sale ready for the fundraiser on Sunday. Redeeming task was going to lunch with my brother (in-between tasks!).

So, a new week starts with new challenges.

Today I have got to make a difficult phone call at lunchtime and I have also got to phone the gas company as we have a bill for £65! (even though we are on pay as you go - how can that be possible???!!!) - that's my lunch hour taken care of!

Few chores and potting tonight (unless there is a decision to have a charity meeting - hope not!)

Need to get back to clearing stuff in the house tomorrow evening in readiness for the re-wire. DH had done really well with the attic - now it's my turn to get things sorted.

Going to make our second OP tomorrow...excited - then I'll be really deflated again lol.

Happy Monday - hope everyone has a good week.

Better get back to doing some real work now - not fair it just keeps getting in the way of all the other things I have to do! (But it does pay the bills I suppose....)

Got to do another meter reading for the gas and ring them back tomorrow.

Our account had been set up wrong in the first place - so that might have something to do with it.

Difficult phone call done and I feel a bit calmer and clearer about the situation now - (personnel issues at the charity). Glad that's sorted for now.

Small shop to do on the way home, then Salmon with Cream & Dill Sauce for tea tonight - yum yum!

Paid work is so inconvenient, isn't it!

I'm glad your difficult phone call went well(ish) - you know from my blether that I have to work myself up to that sort of thing :(

I'm hearing a lot about dill these days - I might have to grow some, does it grow in this country?

All about herbs including dill - looks like it's fairly easy to grow - going to try it myself next year to add to the several types I have in pots at the moment.

It does in my country :rotfl:, thanks to seeds from the lovely MWC :T.

    :j Second OP made of £500! :j

    Bored now.....

Took a new meter reading for the gas and it looks like that's all sorted now - we don't owe anything (I should think not as it's prepayment).

We have decided that we are going to wait until after the kitchen is done before we have the meters changed as the wiring will be done as well. Will be glad to get off pre-paying as it's a pain (and more expensive!)

10 baskets, 4 large pots and 18 small pots done last night. They should have filled out a bit by next week for our final summer fundraiser. I had to re-organise the greenhouse so I could fit a couple of shelves back on the staging to house everything, but it's all fine.

Talking of the greenhouse I have got a few tomatoes coming :T

Will probably end up moving plants again tonight - but then I must buckle down and get a bit done in the study - I know what I want to get done tonight and I must get it done.

DH was a bit glum last night, so he went out for a bit while I was pottering in the garden - he's best left alone when he's like that. He came back in a better mood and we enjoyed tea and a glass of wine.

Tonight's tea is chicken & rice - quite boring really, but usually just hits the spot.

    Off to update signature.

Herbs will make chicken and rice un-boring, MCI :)

Hmmm. So dill is an annual! Right now, that crosses it off my list, I don't grow anything annual at all right now :(

KC I always jazz chicken and rice up - it's going to be lime & coriander chicken with lemon rice...

Pity about your policy towards dill. You could grow it in a pot and bring it inside in the winter months...maybe take some cuttings and propagate inside when it's cold outside if the plant goes a bit funny.

I'd love to, MCI, but energy levels dictate not. Hopefully, this is the last summer things will be like that, a dose of retirement will do me the power of good :) Next year, dill will be on my menu, I promise :)
