    Hi KC

It's the lack of confidence that is hammering the exchange rates 10% drop between GBP and RMB - most Chinese businessmen (sorry to make a sweeping statement, but this is my experience) look at the present situation only, they do not look back or forward with any conviction. At least one of my suppliers has taken a calm approach - she was sympathetic and will wait and see what happens.

It's going to be a bumpy road.

Made some in-roads (be they small ones) to the study last night. A good few items decluttered and wrapped for prize every time (including some items from the bathroom). There is now a little space where is was a mess before. Got to keep plugging at it.

Need to allocate a proper 'present box' as I found the present I was going to give my Mum for her birthday (and her birthday card) that I has lost at the time. Also recovered 2 kids stocking filler pressies.

Didn't have to fetch plants, they had already been moved - one less job.

Resisted the temptation to go out last night for food and stuck with the sausage and mash. I was just so fed up and plain old bored; but after being in the garden for a few minutes then getting some stuff sorted I felt much better.

Having a forgetful morning today - no make up and forgot my shopping bags; so will be wearing my glasses all day and I found 3 carrier bags in my drawer at work!!

As the weather seems a bit better today, I will attempt my walk at lunchtime to take top back, sort bro's pressie and card and pop to b00ts. I have my coat in the car just in case.

Meal plan for next week done and I have pretty much worked out what we are going to eat while we have no kitchen - it's just the other couple of weeks I need to finalise.

    Still need to count 50ps....

    I hope everyone is well.

Gotcha! Sweeping statements R OK :D no probs. To make a few of my own :o:o:o China doesn't have a great deal of experience with the bumpy nature of stock markets and currency exchange rates yet, though individual Chinese may have lots. And I've heard that computerised trading has *increased* volatility - you know, "sell by 1.41" no matter what else is going on. Witness the ftse level today, which a few hours ago was back at pre-brexit level (not sure where it is right now  ) And Western traders bounce around at every rumour, not isolating the Chinese for that.

Definitely agree its going to be a bumpy road!

ETA - inroads into the study are good.

China's currency was pegged against the USD at a fixed rate for years!! I certainly concur that they are not used to volatile markets - as with everyone, but some take more notice than others...

I certainly agree that all the markets are fickle when it comes to uncertainty - China is just the one that affects us at work the most.

We are lucky that we have good relationships with our suppliers and that with some of them at least we can talk sensibly about it.

£150 to the kitchen fund from the extra money from my pay rise.

    Really busy weekend ahead:

    Shopping and moving plants tonight.
Collect prescription, plant stall and lunch with my brother tomorrow.
Fundraiser on Sunday (stall at a local Round Table Fete).

Got to fit some chores in and around all that...

Most of the financials sorted as far as they can be - waiting for CC bill to finish off.

Chicken Slovaki Wraps tonight after yoga - which I really need.

    Happy Friday everyone.
