The weather was absolutely glorious for the funeral - I think it had been especially ordered!!

Her husband had chosen an alternative crem because of the views that surrounded it - it did not disappoint and she would have absolutely loved it. The family did their own service and it was a fitting tribute to a fabulous lady.

Late back last night as we had 2 detours - first to drop someone off at the train station and then there were junctions closed on the motorway that sent us a long way out of our way by means of diversion. 4 hours to do a 2 1/2 hour trip - DH was shattered - but there was no way that I could have driven back successfully - so grateful to him.

Feel a bit flat this morning (apart from being shattered) and I don't feel the best. So I'll have to do my best to get through the day and this afternoons meeting at work - boo!

Few more 50ps in the pot - shouldn't be long before we have made up that £3.

Thats good that it went so well - horrible to have the journey extended by such a lot, though, even being a passenger on a journey like that is bad. I'm not surprised you're feeling flat and shattered today - just do the minimum, if you can cope with that, I know its hard.

£co on holiday has come through - yay - so now waiting for 30 odd quid to hit the bank account!

Really tired - not looking forward to the meeting later.

Back up to about 80% function (yesterday was about 40%!!!)

Did a small Herr A shop (£16), went home, fed the cat and went to bed for a couple of hours while DH went out shopping for a friend's birthday present.

Got up, cooked tea, ate tea, watched TV for half and hour and went back to bed. Yoga tonight should bring me back to full life!!

Another 50p in the pot. Only a week to pay day and next rent money!

    Happy Friday everyone!

Glad the funeral went off okay.

I agree, a sunny day somehow helps

Hopefully you're functioning at 100% again

Getting there on the functioning side...probably about 95% now - still a bit tired, but had a busy weekend.

The dogs was fun on Saturday night - though we lost about 60% of the time - small bets only - all good fun really.

This week includes moving stuff from the allotment - but don't know which day yet. A friend of ours is trying to borrow a van for us as DH helped him move a car yesterday (long story).

Freezer inventory done yesterday and I have enough for roughly 12-14 meals - and 24 meal slots to fill. Aiming to keep the food bill down this month and empty that freezer!

Only 4 weeks till our holiday which is great - plus it's a 5 week month and we are away for the last week!!!

    Money all worked out:

    £75 transferred back to DH
£5 left in the gas/electric budget - yay starting to turn the corner!
£185 to go into the kitchen fund (although it's staying in the joint account for the interest!)

Under budget on the grocery spends (£150/£226), but we did go out a few times (oh the shame!).

50ps have been going into the pot in abundance this weekend so when we have a 'dry' money week mid May, I'll go and pay them in!

Pay day this week and I'll be able to do a personal account sweep (there will be a bit left). Rent due in on 01 May - first OP on new mortgage scheduled for next week!!!

Meal Plan so far this week:

Tues: Lamb Koftas, Pitta Bread & Salad
Wed: Cheeky meal out (pay day treat)
    Thurs: Fish Pie & Veggies
    Fri: Chicken Stir Fry
    Sat: ???
    Sun: Eat at MILs

Will be making a Lamb Ragu with the LO Lamb mince from the koftas to put in the freezer for later in the month.

Need to look at my list and formulate my plan for the rest of the month...

I enjoy reading everybody's meal plans, as I get some good ideas. the lemon and herb tuna steaks sound nice.

Which reminds me, another month is nearly up, so I'll have to do mine for May at some point this week.

I like reading meal plans more than doing them, that's why I do a whole month at once, just to get it out of the way. I feel good when it's done, though!

You had a C3PO to sell? I'm glad I didn't know, I don't want more coming *into* the house :) good for you for sending him onwards.
