Another week and I am Shattered!!

    - Car Boot done Saturday morning: £66.55 made after paying for the pitch, better than a kick in the teeth, but still got loads of stuff left.
    - Separated some stuff out to go to my charity and took some clothes down to the local hospice.
    - Piling stuff up in the spare room now and we have a little clearer house, so not so up to it's neck.
    - Some work done on the buffet menu last night and e-mailed at silly o'clock.
    - Ebay box started.
    - £25.64 received from £co.
    - Transfer sent to House Fund - £92.19.

    - Employee Contracts to be completed for my charity today and drop off.
    - E-mail auction house with the details I've found out about the antique chairs I'm selling.
    - Wrap all the bits and pieces I have for my charity so they are ready to go for our fundraising over the summer and put them down the void in the church so they are out of our way.
    - Get a box together of things to take to the ministry that look after homeless and needy in our city - crocks, blankets etc.. (going to do a small food shop as well - had their newsletter on Saturday and they are now giving out 2000 food parcels a week as well as doing a soup kitchen 3 times a week!!!!!)
    - DH to read through paperwork from the solicitor and I will send the contract back tomorrow - which he will keep until we are happy with the terms of the sale.

I think that might be enough for today!

It is an incredibly sad thought that a single charity in a single city helps out 2,000+ families a week who are struggling to put food on the table, I can never quite wrap my head around the levels of poverty that still exist in our country :o

It certainly is Ed and it brings it home when it's right on your doorstep; I actually know a couple of people who have had to use the service too. Can't just sit by and do nothing.

Not convinced it's going to get better any time soon either.

I read this in your post at 200+, it was only when Ed quoted the point did I realise it was 2000+.

They where collecting at my local supermarket last week and were so grateful for my donation of food, it made me feel humble carrying my weekly shop out of the store

And you are fab for helping so many charities

 CHAPS transfer of the deposit made this morning.

Contract sent to the solicitor yesterday by guaranteed next day.

Estate agents updated as they left a semi-shirty message on my phone last night.

We are now officially poor and destitute :rotfl:

Going to see the house again tomorrow to check fixtures and fittings. Will also look at the locks so I can confirm my house insurance costs.

Appointment with mortgage advisor on Friday - seems pretty pointless really - not too happy that I could have done this by myself really - but heyho - you live and learn.

Money requested from our Joint Savings to cover final costs: legal fees, stamp duty, land registry etc... so that's all good to go.

Just waiting for one small query to be cleared up now and hopefully we will get a completion date.

Fed up now, want to move and want to have a deadline to work to - the house is a mess and can't seem to get going with the packing - a deadline would really help here.

Still munching through the freezer getting there - Sea Bass last night and Sausage & Mash tonight.

Money got to the solicitor ok - phew!

Not sure the contract has???? and that was on next day delivery!!!!!!

Packed up some kitchen bits last night. Filled a box with spices and I've still got loads (had to leave a few regular ones out).

Salmon fishcake decluttered for lunch. Burgers for tea tonight.

Happy Friday everyone - I hope the sun is shining for you (it is here at the moment, but not holding my breath!)

    Solicitor has got the contract.

Went to see the house again last night and had a good chat with the lady selling - she thinks the estate agents etc... are a waste of time and we are paying alot of money for giving us very little.

Our solicitor is fine, but she's using the one connected with the estate agents - she's sent everything back to them, but they seem to be dragging their heels passing info onto our solicitor.

Our solicitor is sorting out a completion date with them today!!!!!!

We need this to give us all (me & DH and the seller) a big push to get everything done to a deadline.

Mortgage Advisor appointment tonight and it's right by the homeless charity so will be dropping crocks, blankets, mugs and some mens clothes off to them. (The food shop will have to wait as I haven't even had time to do our own shopping yet).

Threw a load of old make up away last night - haven't kept very much at all. Found some sachets of shampoo and conditioner and some shower gel which are in the shower ready to be used (used an intensive conditioner this morning - very nice!) - determined to use things up before I buy any more and it declutters all the bits and pieces.

Another fishcake will be decluttered at lunch time (must be the Cod one) and I've found some bits and pieces of chicken at the bottom of the freezer that will probably be defrosted and sorted/eaten over the weekend. Not too much left now really.
