Usual transfer of £323 done this morning. There will be some more, but got to work some stuff out first (really behind with this).

£2.50 received from £co and transferred.

Antique chairs have been valued at £100 - not as much as we thought, but at least it's something. Prefer them to go to a good home rather than get wrecked.

Cat order done today for diffusers to help her with the move and some more of her special tooth diet stuff - 15% off and went through £co.

DH has a medical with the Life Insurance company tomorrow evening - they are coming to us at 6.30pm - need to tidy up tonight as everything is everywhere with the packing up!

Risotto with LO chicken, ham and anything I can find in the fridge for tea tonight.

Hope everyone is well - Friday tomorrow!

Just had a call from DH.

The valuation has come back at what we offered for the house. Although this is a lost opportunity to get the price down, I am quite relieved that we don't have to wrangle.

Mortgage offer should be coming through tomorrow!

We are planning to go to the theatre on our wedding anniversary at the end of the month and we are using a voucher that our nephew gave us for Christmas - be something different to do rather than just going for a meal (which is nice, but can get a bit samey).

DH has just called again while I was writing this post and we have the theatre tickets - 2 row from the front - it's the Blue Brothers experience which we have seen a few times before, but not for 4 years - we absolutely love it!

Had a text from the BS yesterday saying that the mortgage offer has come through - no idea what it is yet - I would think that it will be what we asked for...want to find out now....

What were you selling at the sci-fi fair?

VE Day felt a bit odd. I'm not sure if it's just a change of staff at work, but the usual note about a 2 minute silence read 'if you wish to observe a 2 minute silence'. I wonder whether it will mean anything in another generation? Suffice to say, I observed the silence, although precious few others did.

    Hi Ed

Mainly DHs collection of die cast film related memorabilia, comics, graphic novels, posters, figures, Darth Vader cake tin, books...the list goes on...He's doing a toy fair in September to sell some of his 'normal' die-cast cars. Alot more enjoyable than trudging through flea bay.

VE Day felt like it had been swept to the side on the actual day. But so glad that there were memorial things going on all over the weekend.

Good for you observing the 2 minutes silence.:)

    Mortgage offer is in.

DH is terrified about the amount of interest over the 23 year period. But I told him that's where MFW comes in. I also said that once we are in and paying it, we won't notice it - it's all because he hasn't done this before and he hates the thought of being in debt. I see I've got my work cut out; but I am sure once he's busy sorting stuff in the new house things will settle down.

Busy week ahead folks with packing and stuff to do for our fundraiser this weekend. Will be giving the charity stuff a rest for a few weeks after the end of next week so I can concentrate on getting the house packed up, repairs done and setting up our new home.

    Hope everyone is ok.

£40 transferred to the House Fund.

£30 from DH selling 2 x interactive Star Wars Money Boxes, cardboard cut out of Boba Fett and some graphic novels, £10 from the tops I sold.

DH is selling some more stuff today - A cardboard cut out of Chewbacca and some more graphic novels - should be another £20.

Searches are starting to come back this week, Seller's contract is in at our solicitor - at least something is starting to happen, but still have so much to do.

Still trying to shake this cold - but do feel better today - hopefully get some stuff done tonight.

Chicken Dinner planned for tonight's tea - still munching through the freezer. Need to have a proper look in there the weekend and make a list and see if there is anything that can be thrown out (I think there is some ancient curry sauce in there!)
