Glad to see that things are... gradually... getting there! You must be finding it tricky to keep composed
I'm also working my way through toiletry odds and sods at the moment - a strange mix of hotel sachets, l'occitane soaps and 'womens' Body Shop products :rotfl:

Lovely sun here as well, what a difference it makes.
I am usually quite a calm person - but I must say that it's wearing rather thin now.
DH uses 'womens' body shop shower gel - we both like itand good for the skin.
Unfortunately it's raining now - just in time for the weekend!; but at least we got a bit of sun this week - looks nice out of my work window :rotfl:

Hopefully should know tomorrow
Have sent my apologies to the charity meeting tonight, too much to do.
Got quite alot done at the weekend, but house is till up to it's neck.
Cat not happy - we are going to make sure that we have one room that is presentable so that the three of us (DH, me and the cat) can relax - that is tonight's job!
Salmon and something planned for tea.

Been thinking about how I'm going to organise things in the new house and I also will be taking a slightly improved way of how I deal with the food. its a fresh start in a new kitchen and I want to take advantage of this.
We aren't too bad with this anyway, but I am determined to make it better and save more money on this front.
I have decided that I will be having (mainly) meat free lunches at work - this is pointless for DH as his meat free options are limited due to his now intolerance to cheese and that he doesn't like much veggie food - there are a couple of things that I will be able to give him, so going to work on incorporating that into his lunches once a week maybe. As for me the plan is to have: HM Soup, HM Veggie Chilli & Brown Rice (have a surplus of this at the moment), Quinoa Salads, Beans on Toast, Pasta Salads, Jacket Pots, Falafel and other salads. I will be having fish once or twice a week at lunch as I love my mackerel in tomato sauce!
The aim of this is to use bits and pieces that are in the fridge and reduce overall food waste and I also think that we eat too much meat and I think this ought to be cut down a bit - but not in a way that deprives us.
Going to need to save some money somewhere as I want a new kitchen next year and DH wants a big shed for a workshop.

So will be moving over the course of that weekend.

- Gas & electric are ringing me back on 26th to arrange swap over (currently got meter for the electric and want to get it swapped).
- TV Licence address and direct debit details changed
- TV/Broadband/Phone - booked in for installation on 29 June, more services, better deal - saved £70!
Going to sort the water on Friday.
In Germany tomorrow for an exhibition, so may be going out for cheap and cheerful when I get back as I will be knackered as I have a 3.45am start!
Fish Pie on the menu tonight.
Hope everyone is well.

Exciting stuff :j:j:jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hellooooo! I see I've managed to catch up at a very exciting time! :j
Your new home sounds lovely, and your plans for your current one are admirable. :T I would love to have you as a landlady! There are so many people out there in need of decent housing, I think you've made the best choice possible
Looking forward to hearing all out the move!
PS. It was a while ago, but the recipe for egg fried rice sounded amazing, shall be trying that soona penny picker upper. Last bit of paperwork (hopefully) being sent off to the solicitor today.
Packing is now full steam ahead and we have very little sitting in the fridge and freezer - so getting inventive with just a few fresh items.
Good day in Germany yesterday, but I am absolutely shattered! Will need to find some energy later to sort out the rest of the things under the bed - rather than lying down and having a nap :rotfl:
The plan is to go in the loft tomorrow and also make that trip to the charity shop that I didn't quite manage last weekend.
Our neighbour who knows a van hire place has managed to get us a luton with a tail lift for the whole of next weekend for £70...not bad. (need the tail lift as we have the grandfather clock and a piano to move...not the easiest things).
On the charity side - I need to wrap prizes for our fundraisers - mainly so I can get them out the way and also need to finish off the wages. Will miss the fundraiser next Saturday, but thought I might due to packing or moving - it will be the latter.
3 small pieces of bbq chicken decluttered for lunch. Turkey spag bol, HM garlic rolls (made from LO frozen part-baked rolls and some garlic butter also from the freezer).
Hope to have time to catch up with everyone soon.
