If you are going to get a fitted kitchen in the future, you could buy the fridge/freezer you want now, just make sure its can be integrated/door will open the way you want or can be easily changed

That's what we did, it became a joke with our friends, that we had a naked fridge for a year.

    :o Been a bit busy

    Hope you are all well.

Had to do my first mortgage payment manually as the mortgage advisor had put the wrong account details for the direct debit.

    Accessory shopping tonight!

    Catch up soon.

When I went to Germany a couple of weeks ago, it was paid for by a national association who made the cheques out to the individuals rather than our company.

Our boss said just to pay the expenses and we could keep what was left over.

£70 netted thank you very much.

£50 moved to the kitchen fund - £20 kept to replace wing mirror on van I bumped when moving! (whoops:o) - at least they are cheap to buy online! ;)

Happy new mortgage!! :T :rotfl: :T

You must be loving the extra kitchen space, I dream about having all my kitchen paraphernalia in the same room. I have cocktail glasses and dishes in the living room, cookie cutters in a random bookcase by the bathroom.... the list goes on :rotfl:

Great idea to upcycle those chairs and table into something new for the house, how lovely :smileyhea

    Hey PM

    Thanks for stopping by.

the truth is I am sure I will still have a few things for the kitchen in other locations (mainly catering stuff like plastic table cloths and cupcake boxes!) But it's great really to have the bulk of it in one place.

Not sure when the table will get upcycled - but at least I know it's safe in DHs garage down his mums.

In a bit of money news!! hehe

Half the money has come in for the buffet I'm doing at the end of August. Some of the cash will be used to buy things as the one cake decorating supply shop I go to only accepts cash! Most of the food I'll be buying will be going on the credit card - so I am going to take my share of the money now which is £70.

I am allocating £20 to the van wing mirror fund (so hopefully can get that fixed in a couple of weeks) and £50 to my kitchen fund. I will transfer this when I have paid it in the bank.

In more money news...I will be refunded £37.30 from my car insurance premium for moving house (side road and car now on a driveway at night). This would have been more of a refund, but they charged me £25 for the honour of changing my address - thanks a bunch! However, I am not going sneeze at the refund - this will also go into the kitchen fund.

Have also had £0.42 confirmed by £co which I can't withdraw yet! I am still waiting for a cashback claim to resolved from some months ago from when I bought mum's hearing aid.

Things are going ok at the house - we have started to paint the bedroom purple! (nectar points and extra nectar points obtained!) It look good - hoping to have all the bedroom furniture installed by the end of the weekend and buying a new wardrobe for me at the beginning of next week as mine is shot!

Really shattered at the moment as the cat keeps getting me up in the night (though she's bothering me less now) and there is no respite when you are sorting a house out either is there? plus charity, allotment etc...

Hope everyone is well - trying to keep up with the diaries as much as I can, but we are really busy at work too.

Week and a half till my fortnight's holiday - looking forward to that even though I'm not going anywhere - hope to get loads done to the house, get charity stuff sorted, have a pamper day, start getting things sorted for the buffet, couple of days out planned with DH too.

    Lost a post...boo

    The short version is:

    - Bedroom furniture now being put together.
    - May have to save for a new roof (timescale will depend on patch up job, inspection whilst patching up and what sort of winter we have) - but I am sure it will be ok - hoping for 2 years.
    - List of things I need to do during the holiday made (nice things included).
    - £50 deposited and transferred to kitchen fund (signature updated)
    - £20 of 50ps to be deposited and transferred this week
    - Pay Day next week
    - Grocery shopping at £179 for this month so far, but one week to go as it's a five week month.

Hope everyone is well. 4 sleeps...and counting.

Good luck with the roof :) & that's great going on the groceries, we've been surprisingly ok with food spends this month as well, I'm not sure how we've done it...

Can't wait for payday, it feels like aggggeeess since anyone gave me any money :rotfl:
