Mislaid our marriage cert - spent 4 hours looking for it yesterday and it hasn't turned up. <sad face>

Annoyed as it's been kept with my stuff and I remember seeing it when I sorted out my folder before we moved. I hope it didn't get caught up in the recycling - we threw so much stuff away before moving.

Anyway, feeling a bit better about it today (was upset and angry yesterday - important doc that's sentimental too).

I did find a certified copy that I've got - so taking that to the bank this morning along with my passport which has my married name - so hopefully that will suffice to get changed what I need to.

Didn't get that much done yesterday because of looking for the cert, but did complete my chores and we tidied the porch area (which is massive) up last night in readiness for the boiler man coming tomorrow. Also got the gift aid declaration done.

This morning I have already updated my cats' details on petlog - what a rip off - you have to upgrade to change details £16!!!!! But at least you only every need to do it once (praise be...)

I am just going to complete the National Statistics Survey for our charity (should have done it ages ago - found it when putting some stuff away and we have now had the 2nd reminder - oops). So just going to do that and get it posted off today.

Need to nip up the allotment before I go to town and will get my stuff done in town that I obviously didn't yesterday.

DH says the cert will turn up when it's good and ready - if it doesn't by the time I've filed all the paperwork (which could be some time) - I will have to order a copy (and you can guarantee the original will turn up then...).

Hopefully having lunch with a school chum today, but I haven't heard back from her - which is the norm and very annoying - can take weeks sometimes for her to answer texts - If I haven't heard anything by 1pm I will ring her and see if I can get her - not guaranteed either - love her to bits, but comms can be a little difficult sometimes.

Must get a move on so I can catch up after yesterdays upset.

    Catch up with diaries later.

Grr to school chum. Is it a mobile reception issue?

Another text sent = no reply
Phoned = mobile switched off (I think this is usually the case rather than signal issues)
Racked my brains for her land line = she's busy talking and will ring you back
Text received = totally forgot, can we do it Sat or Mon

Monday no good back at work.

I wouldn't mind but she suggested Wednesday. I text her about it Sat night and yesterday morning. She clearly hasn't even had her phone on since Friday night when I saw her at the school reunion!

Rant over - just a bit upset and with the marriage cert thing it's just upset me - silly I know.

Ordered copy cert. Need it change my driving licence as it's still in my maiden name.

Got the bank sorted and was informed by the mortgage company that the deeds to our hold house have been returned to land registry and we won't get a copy now as they are all digital now.

Not happy - today has cost me money and wasted my time. BAH
    !

Really is rant over! Sorry guys.

Yesterday was a better day - thank God.

Gas man came early 8.20! All okay with the boiler - he fixed a couple of small niggles and said that we need a flue guard outside. 'D' rated but the boiler is 15 years old so not too bad. The surprising thing was that you will only save £164 a year for 15 years with an A rated boiler - now I know that sounds decent - but when you've got to shell out nearly a grand for a new boiler and fitting (deals) permitting - the saving doesn't look so great. (And that is an up to figure - could be less).

Anyway, we aren't looking to fix what's not broken at the moment and We will see what the winter brings.

We also went to look at dining room furniture - we have found some (dark to match what we already have), expensive (in our eyes - used to making do and buying from !kea), and it's lovely! Going to have a shuffle round in the dining room and decide exactly what we want and where it will go. Sale ends Sunday. We can have 12 months interest free credit - so we better get a move on and make a decision (can't finish putting stuff away without it).

Going to try a yoga class tonight - see if I can find a way to de stress on a regular basis.

    Today's hit list
    - tie backs
    - hour up the allotment
    - one box of paperwork
    - pamper myself
    - watch something before it goes off in demand
    - change addresses with charities I support (including my own lol)
    - ring insurance people to change address
    - check to see if car insurance refund has happened (if not, need to ring and sort)

In money news - was going through a bag of decorations from our engagement party (to help my friend whose wedding buffet I'm doing) and found an old Christmas card from other half's mum and dad with £20 in it - the kitchen fund says thank you very much.

DH just leaving for work is my cue to get up and do things.

    Tie backs returned :T
Car insurance company rung about refund - oh it will be within the next 3-5 working days (even though I've already waited 3 weeks)
Pampered myself! Body scrub and face mask included!
    Watched programme off in demand.

Yoga class was good. She's a newly qualified instructor, but I quite like that as she has no preconceived ideas of what people should be able to do. She started yoga to combat anxiety. Enjoyed it, came away relaxed and refreshed (didn't fall asleep on the sofa when watching my programme - lol). Ache a bit this morning - but that's to be expected when you are using muscles you are not used to using Just demonstrates that although it's very gentle dru yoga - it does work you.

Can't go for a couple of weeks - the instructor is off next week and the week after I will be up to my ears in buffet. So looking forward to the next session bank holiday weekend.

Looking out from the conservatory, I've just noticed one of my lilies has finally opened - must take a picture.

Today is chore day. Washing, financial, tidy round, get clothes ready for work on Monday (boo).

Also, going to order wedding cakes, get fondant etc for making flowers and butterflies to decorate cakes and order cake stand, decorations etc...

Lunch with school chum at 2pm - visit mum and catch up with friends after.

Suppose I better finish my cup of tea and get on with it.

Must have been from a good few years ago as it's signed from both his parents - and we get a single card now we are married - so could be 6 years? Amazing what you find.
