Bit more done at the allotment - took one lot of staging down in the green house and moved the tomato plants round. Weeded at the side of the greenhouse so some light can actually get through. Cut down the weeds inside the greenhouse too...When the crops are finished in there I am going to get DH to put down some matting under the slabs - October job I think!
IF I go up tonight it will be to just water the greenhouse and put some canes in the tomatoes in the greenhouse. Been quite wet here today, so can leave the rest to be watered by the elements.
Won't be able to go up for a couple of days as I have to have something done tomorrow and I will be on strict orders to rest up.
We went out for tea last night at DH fancied it - we couldn't get in where we wanted to go and ended up trying somewhere else - it wasn't that good really - but it was Two4one so not too bad money-wise.
First part of my big shop went well. £42 spent in Herr A. Going to Mr T tonight - got a £3 coupon to use if I spend over £20 - that shouldn't be too hard with cat food and washing powder to buy.
Sending DH to the butchers tomorrow to get supplies and he is also cooking tea tomorrow night (which is as much a surprise to him as it will be to me as he said he doesn't know what he's cooking yet!!) - so I will be well looked after.
Having Salmon with Chilli, Lime and Soy tonight, with noodles and stirfy veggies. Then I have to fast until I've had my procedure done!
Happy Friday everyone and I hope you all have fab weekends' - at least I will be forced to have a rest for a change lol :rotfl:.
Here comes the thunder...

Everything went fine. Rested on Saturday - didn't really have a choice as the anesthetic knocked me about.
Got back to doing a few chores on Sunday - even made some muffins for Sunday tea pud! Perhaps did a bit too much as was worn out yesterday.
Went back up the allotment last night (missed it) and didn't have the energy to do much - but I keep plodding on.
In MSE news £1.58 has arrived from £co! - not getting much out of that now as not really buying anything.
Few more 50ps added - must be near £20 now.
Need to go and get a birthday card for my brother - taking him out for his birthday tonight (if he can muster up any enthusiasm for it).
Two fundraisers coming up: Church Fair on Saturday and a School Fair next Wednesday - I know what we are doing and what needs to be done, so ploughing on with that. My partner in fundraising crime has been poorly and with me out of action for a few days its crept up on us!
Hope everyone is well. Seems like I've got my work cut out again catching up with diaries.

Short trip up the allotment last night - planning to get a bit done tonight.
npower have decided to drop our DD again from £103 to £95 - better, but still not that good. Must put in another meter reading.
Meal out with bro was good - pricey, but nice - he was much better by the time I got to him last night and he was a happy bunny with his pressies and his meal.
The healthier eating hasn't been going too bad - but I am not going to deprive myself - I like healthy food (fortunately) - but there is only so much salad you can eat - so trying to ring the changes.
Back to planned meals tonight - Posh sausages with sweet potato & and regular potato mash, veggies and onion gravy - need some cooked veggies - feel all saladed out!
Happy hump day everyone!

£16 on plants last night for me and Mum - was going to buy some anyway and my friend who works for our charity had been and got a new selection for our up and coming fundraisers - so I got first pick! I got some different plants to the norm and the money has gone to the charity - so all good there.
Will go and put Mum's plants in on Sunday so the front garden is once again full of colour.
Everything else is pretty quiet.
Shopping in Herr A tonight, petrol fill up using 6p off a litre and trip to the the £shop to get prizes for our fundraiser next week.
Think we might have fish tonight - have some nice fishcakes in the freezer.

Boy am I glad its Friday.
Took mum for a hospital appointment this morning (only a check up) and since I got to work I have just been bombarded with questions and have you done this and have you done the other - my head is just spinning and I feel like telling everyone to go do one!!!!!
I made some calls from home this morning to try and get ahead on a couple of things and I text my colleague to let him know and he didn't even send me one back to say ok! Getting grrrr!!!!!
Spent £23 in Herr A last night (including some baking ingredients for fundraisers), so not too bad. Couple of things to get from Mr T tonight - but not much.
Tea last night was gammon steaks ( I treated us to some as it was on £1.98 for two nice slabs from Herr A). We don't have it very often as the amount of salt in them is more than the daily amount!!!!! Not good for DHs blood pressure.
Anyhoo - plan for tonight is shopping, cake making (just 3 lots to do): Mini Victoria Sponges (filled with lemon curd); cupcakes (got some mini oreos to go on top) and some marmalade muffins (using up a jar in the fridge); watering up the allotment; then get all the stuff ready for tomorrow - not too much to do as managed to get some things done this morning before going to fetch Mum (got to take advantage of any extra time you get haven't you?)
Tea tonight is dead simple - chicken wraps with salad and tex mex dips.
Hope everyone has a brilliant weekend - I'll just be glad when I get out the of work's door!

Managed to get a bit done up the allotment yesterday - plus, my friend and I moved the cucumber (5ft long plant) from her greenhouse to the greenhouse up the allotment. We have nicknamed this OPERATION CUCUMBER and could stop laughing about it!!!
The weeds are still a nightmare...difficult not to get disheartened with it all sometimes.
Really need to get some washing done this evening - yesterday went pear shaped.
The mummy cat has gone in for the snip today (all kittens have gone to their homes) - just waiting for news. Vet's assistant apparently asked if we were sure she's female lol (I am sure the fact she's just had kittens gives it away slightly and the way she's been making up to DH! gives the game away slightly) Really made my day that did. It looks like MIL will take her on full time - she's going to get her chipped and she's told me not to buy anymore stuff for the cat (like I'm going to do that! It's my fault she's got her!)
Not alot to report money wise - didn't win on the raffle on Saturday!, another 50p in Penguin and Chicken Stir Fry planned for tea (even though I will have to quick defrost the chicken when I get home as I forgot to get it out the freezer this morning).
Hope everyone is well.
