She sounds charming
The one thing I found helpful when taking Mrs E's cat to the vet (a huge ginger tom who doesn't like to be picked up) was that it's actually easier to plop him in the bottom of the carrier and then build the top part over him (we have one of those two piece plastic crates). He's normally too surprised to attack!
Getting him to go in through the door? It's like the reverse of a lobster pot :rotfl:0 -
She's gorgeous though and I love her to pieces (literally with my arm hanging off!)
Yeah, tried that one too, but she is far too wise to it. Feliway spray sometimes helps.
Arn't they funny though...

Well, I wrote a long post earlier and lost it!
So, in summary:
- Another loaf baked, not too bad (got all the amounts and ingredients right this time!)
- Hour done up the allotment - all I am going say is 'Horse Tail'!
- Chicken Dinner cooked - ate late, but yum!
- £20 added to the pot through deposit of 50ps
Shopping, allotment and a few chores tonight.
I think I may do Chicken Egg Fried Rice for tea using the LO chicken.
Hope everyone is well.
Off to update signature.

It really is a nightmare. But I keep trying. This years plan is to dig over, contain it as much as possible, then weed killer sections once the veggies have been harvested.
the most important thing this year is that I am cultivating vegetables as well as horse tail! :rotfl:

Happy Friday everyone!
Quick update as I have LOADS to do today.
No allotment last night - got home at 6.45pm and couldn't face going up there. So will be going tonight as theoretically, I should have more time.
Plan for today (after work) is:
- Go to !kea and get small cardboard boxes for the cleaning and organisation of the study in Mum's house - this is the plan for tomorrow.
- Shopping at Mr T (very small list!) £12 spent in Herr A last night.
- Allotment for an hour.
- Sort out washing.
Tonight's tea is going to be luxury spag bol made with LO beef from the roast the other week that I shredded and froze.
DH is going down Wales tomorrow to help his mate with a load of ready mixed concrete he's having delivered. Buying 2 x Chinese ready meals from Mr T tonight for tomorrow's tea as I think neither of us will feel like cooking and its cheaper than getting a takeaway.

PS Starting the countdown to breaking up for a week! Next Friday can not come soon enough.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

And it's Monday again! But this time next week we will be winging our way to the Lake District - so on countdown - really can't wait!
Busy week ahead - trying to get stuff done in the garden, allotment, charity-wise and make sure the house is straight for when we go away. Oh and I have loads to do at work as we are exhibiting at a major exhibition the week after we get back from holiday, so everything needs to be ready.
Had a bit of a manic go at the allotment over the weekend and got two patches re-dug (removal of horse tail); weeded most the onions (need to finish that off tonight) and sowed the carrot seeds (orange and purple).
My friends went and planted the dwarf beans yesterday and the aim for this week is to get the cabbages, courgettes and herbs sorted - plus more patches dug for runner beans and peas to go in.
Mealplans got mixed round a bit at the weekend and we ended up with Cottage Pie from the freezer on Friday and polish sausages from our neighbour on Saturday.
So tonight will be the spag bol made from the LO beef (fortunately, I hadn't taken it out of the freezer on Friday).
Few more 50ps in the pot.
Sun is shining, but stuck in the office...boo!

Busy, Busy again!
Getting through my 'To Do' list - hoping to get all charity stuff completed tonight so I can concentrate on getting the house straight at the weekend.
Courgettes and cabbages planted up the allotment. The weather is a bit hit and miss over the next few days, but really hoping to get some more digging done before we go away.
Few more 50ps in the pot - all provided by DH!
Meal plans are still going quite well.
Tuesday was Turkey Stroganoff and last night we had garlic butter steak.
Tonight's meal will probably be egg based as I am not sure if DH is going out or not.
Payday next week. But won't be able to get money shuffle done until we get back from holiday.
Only 4 more sleeps!

Really silly question MCI, but is garlic butter steak a steak with a dod of garlic butter on top/steak cooked in butter *with* garlic, or neither?
I once made a Japanese style steak from adapting a newspaper recipe that went really well. It was basically steak pounded flat, marinaded in soy sauce, mirin and flat parsley and then pan fried in butter
