Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning.
Not too bad thanks megela - think I just got myself churned up! Mint tea bags are on the shopping list though. xedinburgher wrote: »Kittens and a fixed pension? Well done you (well, cat mum did all the work really)
I know, arn't I good:rotfl: cat mum did a wonderful job and as for the pension, I can't take credit for that either as my friend in accounts tackled the boss! Oh well, someone has got to take the creditGood to see you Ed.

Energy company are putting my Direct Debit up to £103. Really must take those meter readings as I am sure it can't be that bad!
Taken a letter down to the bank today for mum - was nice to get out of the office as I feel I have been cooped up for ages.
Went up the allotment last night just to water the greenhouse and ended up planting the broad beans as they were in danger of going leggy and un-useable. No trowel - just a small spade and no gloves, so very mucky hands!
Fundraising figures are in from the weekend £108 on plants, £58 from cakes and kitchen - not bad. But true to form - we have problems with the van and that which we have been giveth will also be taken away.
Lamb Pie for tea tonight using LO lamb from Sunday joint from a couple of weeks ago that MIL gave us and we froze and a pack of puff pastry I had snoozing in the freezer.
Going to see kittens tonight - can't wait. They are one thing that is making me smile at the moment. I haven't got to water the allotment (as my friend will do it), but I have got to move the charity van to outside ours so our mechanic neighbour can fix tomorrow.
Happy hump day everyone.

Kittens! Ah, I'd want to keep them all :smileyhea
I want to know all their names when you get backa penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -

I'd love to keep them all too...
No names yet - but there is one that is growing faster than the others and I am think it's male - so I think George would be a good name (considering they were born the day after St George's Day).
Kitten Updates will be a feature over the next few weeks.

Any way of providing photos?
I believe that was why the internet was invented.0 -
Made the Lamb Pie and it was massive - so LOs for tonight's tea!
Couple more 50ps in the Penguin Pot (really must count this weekend).
Main jobs I want to get done this weekend are:
- Freezer inventory and complete mealplan
- Maybe clean the oven!
- Bit of time in the garden & allotment (weather pending).
- Meet friend for lunch - meeting at a town halfway between our two houses as he lives about an hour's drive away now. Going to bake him a victoria sponge for his birthday on Monday - he loves cake (Friday's job).
Was hoping to get up the allotment this evening, but the weather is just awful. Will have to pop up to check the greenhouse as I have seeds in there and I don't want any seedlings to go leggy.
Charity van has been taken for repairs (hopefully not too expensive).
DH has just this second rung me to let me know that someone has given him a bread maker. Now although I really want one, I have held off getting one as we have nowhere to put it. However, I will enjoy trying it out at the weekend).
No motivation at work this week, so will be really glad when this week is done.

I feel your pain re. work MCI. I have just been asked to write my own objectives for the second year running. When I pointed out that I would find this hard to do as I've had no meetings with my bosses or colleagues and no sight of our priorities etc., I just got a lot of crappy weasel words and platitudes along the lines of 'it's the same for all of us'. I couldn't help but think 'yes, but you're earning an extra £10k for your trouble'
Tbh I think I'll just ignore the request, I don't think I've had a single objective that has actually been of any value since I joined this place :rotfl:0 -
Ed, I feel quite envious that you don't have meetings with your bosses. I have to have a monthly review with my line manager. As I only work two days a week, that means I get reviewed every 8 days. It's the equivalent of a full timer being reviewed every week and half - just bonkers !:rotfl:
MCI - enjoy the kittens, they must be so cuteEarly retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
Well, as they're a shower of twits it's not so much the actual meetings I miss, as the fact that they're at least ticking the right boxes
Kittens are fab. If MCI wasn't far away I'd probably come and adopt [STRIKE]one/two[/STRIKE]/six.0 -

Would be great if you could Ed! Will figure out how to put pictures on at some stage (haven't worked it out yet!)
