  • Some are for me and my friends and the rest are for us to sell for the charity - lets face it, you are never going to use a whole pack of seeds yourself are you?

    That makes sense!

The first year my dad was retired he went a bit crazy in the greenhouse and I ended up selling 200+ surplus tomato plants at 3 for a £1 :)

Thanks for stopping by MWC with the get well wishes.

That really is a lot of tomato plants - at least you got a few quid out of them. I've only got 78 so far (few more to come), but there may be some casualties out of that.

Another hour done up the allotment last night. Enjoyed it and I don't feel too stiff this morning (phew).

Had a lovely message from a friend yesterday which made me take stock of things and have more faith in myself. This message comes when my friend's wife is very ill and makes me extremely grateful. These people are like god-parents to me; known them a very long time.

There are a few things in my life that I need to think about very carefully and start to move forward.

I really feel that I have turned a corner - and I intend to keep going.

Almost back to full strength now, but looking forward to the Easter break - I am working tomorrow and have Monday and Tuesday off.

    Now for a rant!

Pension - my boss is only paying in 4%; my contract says 5%. Apparently his contribution reduced when we switched pension providers - it remains to be seen whether this was done on purpose or by accident! I have a feeling its the former which makes my both disappointed and angry at the same time. I will be tackling this carefully when he returns from holiday! Not happy at all about this £170 a year down on what it should be!

I think that was quite a calm rant really!

Out with my cousin tonight for a drink and a chat - we have some family stuff we need to discuss.

Food will be ad hoc tonight with both of us fending for ourselves.

Wishing everyone a happy Thursday - especially those who break up for Easter today!

DH has gone to Wales. I am at work. But its Friday and there is not much doing!

Its a NSD too as I've left my cards and cash at home (by accident!)

2 more 50ps in Penguin from DH.

Will get some jobs done this evening and pop up the allotment while DH is out of the way.

The sun is shining and its absolutely lovely out there - pity the weather is going to turn...

Hope everyone is well. Happy Friday and Happy Easter weekend.

Its a year since Dad passed away today.

The time has gone quick and slow at the same time.

Really don't want to be at work today and its a pity I feel so down as the sun is shining so nicely today.

Hello, just been reading your diary.

What you said about your dad struck a chord with me,

Next month, it'll be 10 years since my dad died, and the first couple of springs afterwards were very difficult, as the whole feel of that time of year really brought everything back. In the end, I went away for a holiday around the 3rd anniversary, so everything was totally different, and it helped to break the cycle of feelings.

I still miss my dad, but now it's easier to think of him, and not painful, although it still makes me sad sometimes.

    Best wishes to you

Hello Goldie and thanks for dropping by.

Thank you for sharing about your dad. All the tips for making things easier are greatly appreciated.

I am not so lucky in that I have set holidays and its difficult to go away when I want. However, I think its good to try and do something different to improve what you are feeling on that day.

    Thanks again.

Its a pity that my positivity went down the tube later in the day; however, saying that - after an appointment yesterday I feel much better about things again.

    Thanks for stopping by.
