Easter means many things to many people:
It can be religious.
It can be a time for families to come together.
It can be a time for a well earned rest and time with your loved ones.
It can be a time for taking stock and planning for the rest of the year,
And it can be a time for fun with chocolate eggs, chicks and Easter egg hunts.
So whatever this holiday means to you, I hope you have a good one.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.
Enjoy.

Hope you had a lovely Easter, MCI xa penny picker upper. It was a different sort of Easter.
Lazy day on Easter Sunday.
Monday, BBQ with the neighbours and some gardening done (DH did some fence repairs).
Tuesday - made a new home for the stray cat I have been feeding.
Can't remember whether I said that she is expecting! So full of kittens. I was really worried that the local fox would come and cart the kits away once she had them. My MIL is a star - we have done out her summerhouse with an enclosure to keep cats in and dogs out (she has three dogs) and she's all set up to have her kittens in safety and peace.
Had a call off MIL this morning and she's settling in nicely - going to see her later - I'm dead soft I know - but can't stand the thought of anything bad happening to either her or the kittens. (MIL also said she may keep her - but we will see).
Tonight's tea will be last night's tea as we had a quick takeaway as it was later.
Couple more 50ps gone in the penguin. Pay day tomorrow - so shuffles to be done.

Been a really busy few days.
- The cat has had the kittens - moved her on Tuesday evening, she had five little ones on Thursday afternoon!
- Been busy preparing for our fundraiser we had on Saturday, shopping, baking and shifting stuff!
I have achieved two MSE things:
1. Didn't let my car insurance tick over! and saved £116 (cheapest insurance I have ever had!)
2. Got my pension sorted. My colleague who does the accounts confronted my boss about it. He had reduced it on purpose - but said he didn't remember. I think he is embarrassed! He's agreed to pay all back pay and put the contribution back up to 5% from now! He's such a chicken though - he hasn't said a word to me about it at all. I just need to sort out how much I am going to put my contribution up by now.
I need to look at all the bills and see how everything is going with saving pots etc... lost touch a bit and Spring seems the right time to do this.
The other good news is that I am 99% sure that I will not hve to do a tax return for last year - will have to double check when I get my interest statements in, but I have everso slightly under the threshold (even with the dividend and the dividend tax credit - good enough for me!)
Steamed Fish and Veg with oriental spices for tea tonight.
Hope everyone is well - I am shattered, but getting there.

PS Booked a few days away in Whit Week - going to the lakes for 4 nights; can't wait - time away from everything in the peace and quiet and celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. (£300 for 4 nights in a top end B&B for the two of us - quite happy with that).Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Well done on sorting out the pension and car insurance.:)
The break in the Lake District sounds lovely, that's another place on my list of places I'd like to visit - it's a long list:rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
We've never been to the Lake District either. It's daft, we have been alot of places worldwide, but still have alot of places to explore closer to home.
I think we tend to go abroad because of the weather; but I seriously think we will be doing more trips closer to home.
Was looking on Tripadviser at the place we are staying and someone had said about the attic room being a bit cramped (especially if you are tall) - so e-mailed them and they have made sure we are in a room with no beams (DH is 6' 4") - result. Checked on the web-site and the room we will be in looks lovely. So looking forward to the break.
Didn't feel very well last night, so last night's tea will be cooked tonight. (DH had eggs and I went to bed with some mint tea).
Need to do some shuffling...
Few more 50ps in Penguin too...
