Not liking this week at work at all!
Roasting by the boss on Monday; driver having a go at me for nothing this morning! Was really upset and just wanted to go home! Some people!!!!!
Anyway, a bit calmer now - looking forward to the allotment today to blow some cobwebs away - its been really good for that this week (although I'm shattered and not getting as much done as I need to).
My plot has been mentioned on the vigilance report at the allotments - just for weeds (so 1/6 isn't too bad). Just concerned about weeds spreading to neighbouring plots). I am on with it and trying to do a bit on the boundaries every night before digging. By the next inspection I would hope that there will be a big improvement.
Went to see the kittens for the last time last night (although one will be staying till the 30th) - they were running around the garden having a great time - will miss those little guys, but so glad that they all have homes. Cats Protection are sending a full spaying voucher to my MIL next week so we can get the mum doctored and then see if she will fit in with MILs other animals.
Roast chicken dinner last night and using the LOs for stirfry with egg fried rice tonight.
Menu plan done up until payday and hoping I have put everything on the shopping list (should be quite small).
Busy day Saturday coming up:
- cleaning and washing
- swapping summer and winter clothes over
- relish making (for up and coming fundraisers)
- allotment
- go and see Mum
- catch up with friends for a cup of tea
Still catching up with the diaries...

Monday again!
Chicken Egg Fried Rice became Chicken & Prawn Paella and used up two ready meals I had in the freezer over the weekend.
Out with my brother tonight and we were going to watch the football straight from work tomorrow - but that now looks like its not going to happen (I wonder why!!!!)
All jobs done at the weekend plus DH helped me tidy the garden yesterday and do a couple of jobs up the allotment.
Excited as we have flowers and small fruit on the courgettes and flowers on the tomatoes!
Not much on the money front - spent about £30 on weed matting and chicken pellets for the allotment; plus we put a few 50ps in the pot (must check that this weekend).
Got our meals for the next few days planned. MUST excavate the freezer on Wednesday so I can make a good shopping list and stock up, but not overly so.
Hope everyone is well.
Still catching up...

I'm meeting my friends at 5pm tomorrow for tea. We decided weeks ago, that, whatever the outcome of the previous matches, the last group match was going to be painful!
Having tea and a toasted sandwich was always going to be preferableEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks A!
I have 2 baby courgettes on one of the "Green Bush" plants - time to feed them! :rotfl:
Weeding done round the courgettes last night and watering too. Had to cut it short because of taking my brother to the cinema - I was late too as I'd left my phone at work and I don't wear a watch - we got there on time though and he enjoyed the film.
I can't say it was my favourite, but it was ok - Godzilla. Did indulge in a scoop of 'football fever' ice cream which was delish.
As we are not going to watch the match from work I'm going to do my usual trip up the allotment (will miss half of it anyway travelling home).
Goldie - you definitely have the right idea in going for afternoon tea - sounds great!
Another 50p in the pot this morning.
Pension has now been sorted and I am now paying an extra £20 to the pot; accounts have sorted my lump sum payment too and she is double checking that the correct amount of employers contributions will be going in for future months.
Expenses paid for exhibition - need to go to the bank and pay in £42.50 cheque. Received £31 payment back off Paycare too.
Tuna Steaks with tomato, lemon and caper sauce for tea tonight.
Hope everyone well.

Hi MCI
I'm so jealous about your allotment although I can't keep up with the veg plot in my garden so I would be forever on the naughty list! Tonights dinner sounds yummy!

Hi WS
Believe me, it's really hard going with the horse-tail - but I keep plodding on!
Thanks for popping by.

I am so tired. I don't know whether its all the stuff I'm doing or the hay fever kicking in - feel really drained today and my eyes won't stop running - really never had it this bad.
Went up the allotment last night - concentrating on removing the forest of weeds from the edges at the moment but got rained off at 7.50pm! Managed to get a bit done - hoping to do some more tonight - just an hour! Forgot to mention yesterday that my friend had been up and planted our runner beans! Yay! Another crop in!
I spotted some very very small yellow courgettes growing on the two plants of the same name - have fed them and the green bush ones showing fruit.
Planted pots in-between the tomatoes, courgettes and gherkins as I don't think they are getting enough water - so this should help with flooding the roots of said plants when filled whilst watering.
Dinner was lovely last night and hoping for a nice one tonight too. Bought some Ribeye steak as it was on offer last week at Mr T (its DHs favourite). Roast potatoes with polish seasoning, onions, mushrooms and salad to accompany.
Looking back over my diary I forgot to add DHs £50 to the pot this month, so going to update now.
Also been looking at the payments that MIL has been making to us to pay for FILs funeral - in 3 months time she will have paid us a little over half back. I am really hoping that she will let us stop the payments and then she will have an extra £100 per month - she is struggling as she is still borrowing money off DH on a monthly basis (and paying it back); but we want her to be in situation where she doesn't have to do that. Plus, stopping her payments at the end of Sept would mean that she can build up some money for Christmas too.
Next week marks 1 year since FIL died and DH is hoping to get the memorial garden finished. (How quick did that go!)
On a positive note - Happy hump day everyone - hope you are all having a good week.

Right! Payday is here and I have transferred £357 to the fund; just £34 extra £s - not very good...
I have completed my meal plan for next month and made my shopping list. I am on a mission to become more healthy and get more energy so I can get things done - so lethargic at the moment.
My plan is to cut carbs out at lunchtime - increase protein a little, plus more fruit, veggies and low-fat dairy. I am also going to be off the alcohol for the whole of July! Drinking more water and my wine substitute of apple juice and soda is also on the menu!
Most refined carbs will now become wholegrain and I hope that this will help DH with his stomach problems too.
Another hour and a half done up the allotment last night. A friend of mine (who is also on the committee up there) said "cuffs and collars" as far as the allotment is concerned. ie do what you can to tidy it up and don't worry about what they can't see! For the short term, this is a really go idea and I am concentrating on making the front of the allotment looking better (not good - but better).
3 courgettes on the 'green bush' plant now - seem to have grown overnight! looking forward to sampling them - got a feeling that this week will be the last week I'll have to buy courgettes for a while!
So, off to update signature - hope everyone is having a good Thursday.
