No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

Just spent the last hour or so catching up yet again, must log in more regularly to keep up with this thread.
No more INs since last post but loads of OUTS - at long last got some of my excess toiletries together and took to Give and Make Up, no idea how many items but I filled a walkers crisp box that I picked up from work, started to count the items initially, but got bored and just piled it in. Most of what was left of my car boot stash went in, loads of feminine hygiene, which I no longer need, various stuff I had bought a few of before trying and then wasnt overly impressed. Probably got rid of about 10th of my stash as a rough estimate and also threw out a few bits and pieces whilst getting the stuff together.
I took it direct to Beauty Bay at lunchtime and met Ailsa, she was very appreciative and I must say Beauty Bay smelt wonderful. She has offered to send me a 10% voucher as a gesture for my donation. I did explain that I was trying not to buy, but said I may use later on in the year if I need to buy any presents.
She knew all about our thread and said they had been receiving loads of packages and had a transit full of stuff.
Although I have cleared quite a bit, it still looks far too much stuff and wonder if I will ever get it down to a reasonable amount.
Also when went to do my make up today I have actually finished a No17 foundation - only been open a couple of years, used it on and off. Still have a few others in stock though to keep me going. Also I got an email the other week saying I had won one of the Rimmel 25 Hour foundations, not received it yet though.0 -
hi guys
am feeling totally down in the dumps today and don't know whether to tell you guys the truth or go and sulk in a corner.....
damn can't stand, just gonna have to come clean...
i had a lloyds relapse (ok ok don't laugh!)
-went to a couple of locals well not that local about 15mins away wasting about £5 of petrol and bought
1. 6 mitchum a/p( blaming you guys for that you've been raving about them)
2. H&S and 2 carex for £1
3. 6 fragrances (morgan and beckam)
4. 3 mini fragrance sets (yes yes i know i've got loads but these were different)
plus i've now had a row with the OH...
he wants to take 1 month unpaid a leave a year to go on holiday (he's from abroad) i couldn't think of anything worse than sitting in a mud hut with my in laws for one month. He would lose one month pay plus the cost of a trip like that would run into thousands. yet he won't give up his job for a slighter lower paid one to move back here with us.
i am so going to go off and sulk now, no need to send me to the naughty step, i think i'm already on it:(:(:(
oh ps kaz, did you say you had a coil, officially you should really be having a coil check once a year, can you combine your smear with that??
and Absinthe fairy hope your friend is ok, just been watching the news with my kids and am praying for all those people out thereGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

I have a UU to report
Lush gorgeous moisturiser. WIBA? Not sure. Only if it part of some deal as for £36 for a 45ml size, it is very expensive. This one was a 10 ml size which came in a giftbox.0 -
Great news about the dogs and horses. I saw the Lab REtriever on tv...beautiful!
Hope your friend is okay Absinthe Fairy

Had a sort out today and have gifted a few things to my mum as I know she cannot afford to spend as much as she would like on toiletries so outs...
No7 Lift and Luminate mini
4x tesco sensitive face wipes
P&P Serum mini
Nivea Happy Time Body Lotion
Sanctuary Body Lotion(full size)
She was very grateful so it made me feel better that she will make good use out of them rather than being sat in a drawer.
One u/u Listerine Stay White Mouthwash
I have to say that I love how supportive everybody on this thread is for each other no matter what the situationIt's lovely to be in the virtual company of nice people!

Could he go alone? Rebrand it as visiting family rather than a holiday. Can't remember if you have children (sorry) but if you do you could explain that the children would make such a trip really difficult.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

He'd love to go alone , that's half the problem
He assumes I'll either look after the kids or tag along dutifully to the in laws if we go
He mentioned it ages ago and thought he'd get it out of his system
Taking unpaid leave for a whole month to go off and p***about is pretty reckless if you ask meGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

But you don't want to go and it sounds like you wouldn't enjoy it so isn't it better that he goes alone? Is there somewhere you'd like to go for a holiday or a spa break or city break? Then he could mind the children while you have some me time to do what you enjoy.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

Slightly tipsy after a work night out but wanted to tell you all about my success! I had been waxing lyrical about that primer I bought (my last in!) to a colleague who decided she wanted one last night.
"Come to Boots and help me buy it" says she. "No, I'm not allowed into boots until my stash is down to 400" says I. So today she tells me she bought the primer, and because it was 3 for 2, also bought a skin illuminator and foundation she didn't need nor want. These purchases entitled her to a goodie bag full of skin samples, a full size lipstick etc. Now, had I gone, I would have definitely bought 3 things to get the goodie bag! 3 things I didn't need plus about 7 samples. I am very proud of myself today!0 -
A UU for me this morning - Tigi Bedhead Hard to Get texture paste. WIBA - yes I would. Really liked it and held it's style well without turning my hair greasy. Got this one out of TK Maxx so not sure about the normal cost of it. If it was cheap enough then yes. I am now onto a Toni & Guy texture paste tub and I don't have anymore pastes in my stash - whoop whoop :j
