Two UUs - a packet of cotton wool and a Sunsilk conditioner. Would buy it again, to be honest it is much nicer than any of the premium conditioners I've used (and stockpiled :o).

I use our shampoo on the dogs quite a lot - and I used to buy Tresemme to use on the racehorses all the time (having checked with the jockey club that it was safe to!) - never had a problem.

no news from the stud yet - only that they couldnt do it yesterday, buy were definately going to go in today for a go.

Nothing has made me laugh more of late than bargainbetty's flying speculum story. I am going to print it out to share with my best buddy who doesn't have a pc. We are going out tomorrow and as we have a very similar sense of humour, I know she will appreciate it.

Always pleased to be of service.... we had to get another nurse in to do the test - the first nurse and I were laughing too hard to take it at all seriously by that point.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I too am staggered by the length of time that products last. We are a family of 4 and we don't even manage to UU a 200ml bottle of shampoo each month. It's mad isn't i!
I do think that with regular exfoliation and scrubbing, lotions go an awful lot further. Not sure that's such a good thing for some of us!

In lighter news, when DH comes home for lunch (soon, I hope, I'm starving!) I need him to get the drain rods out cause ours is blocked. Cue one dirty nasty job for me later on! I'll do it once the littlies are gone and then have a nice hot bath. I might even have bubbles. Actually, no I won't just remembered that DH fitted a water saver thingy to the shower head so it now doesn't even wet your hair :(.
    He's home now, yay!

    I seem to be a 2 x shampoo: 1 x conditioner person too.

I am really impressed how soft my arms are at the top since I've been on this challenge - used to be bumpy and horrid! Am a bit scared to run out of body lotion now incase it goes back to how it was!

Probably only slightly fewer times than me.

I had missed a test the previous year, and then got an abnormal result. I had a follow up, which showed more abnormalities, so I had to have a colposcopy. They have a camera up there, and your cervix is painted with iodine to see how it reacts which tells them what level the dyskarosis is at (that's the abnormality). If untreated, it can lead to cervical cancer. You also get to watch it all on the telly! My reaction was so severe they did a double biopsy on the spot. It turned out that I had a very very mild case of dyskarosis, which cleared up on it's own. However, I am allergic to iodine!

When you've had an allergic reaction in your nether regions, shooting someone with a speculum on the follow up test just adds to the fun.

I wrote a message via email, facebook etc to all my female friends, telling them the story, but also 'preaching' that putting off a smear test was a very silly thing to do - most people don't have the medical experience I got and it could save your life.

In my case, it also let me practice my audition for a Thai sex show. :D

Now, anyone been forgetting to book their next appointment.....?

Gah! My plan to get to town has been thwarted yet again, just had a somewhat bullying letter from our EAs. Went onto periodic tenancy last month now they are telling us unless we re-sign (where we pay a ridiculous fee to do so) then they'll put our rent up! Needless to say Im now writing a letter to my Landlord....

Might get to town eventually (oh and eat lunch too)

I've tried various dog beds and they now have plastic beds with cheapy pillows inside (or our old ones) and pillowcases. I wash the cases once a week and replace the pillows when needed. At around £3.50 - £3.99 for two pillows, that works best for me.

If money was no object though I'd get something like yours, but for 2 dogs (needing 3 beds - as one sleeps upstairs at night) it'd be a luxury.

While trying to keep on topic :D has anyone ever used toiletries up on smelly dogs? I sometimes resent paying the price for "dog" shampoo.

I don't have room for the plastic type bed as our dog is a very big labrador and a soft bed means less scraped legs for us.

I don't use our toiletries on him but I don't spend a lot I use wilko tea tree dog shampoo and he regularly applies his own cow pat hair mask (good enough to eat too he tells me) and his coat looks fab.

How can something that has on SPF protect from the sun  I'm talking about the No7 hair protecting spritz I bought for €0.45 using a No7 voucher at Boots, the one mentioned as a good bargain buy on the Boots thread. It's a big 200ml bottle and sounds a bit useless so I don't think it's a great thing to be stocking up on if you have No7 vouchers to use.
