@Kaz I'm actually not that surprised to hear of a nurse who has never had a smear test.

MSE seems to have a huge population of accountants and bank staff who have terrible debt and money problems of their own :D

Certainly not intended as a judgement on anyone, just an observation that a lot of us are bad at practicing what we preach ;)

@pudsey I heard of somebody washing their dog with lush products, great for a nice smelling dog:rotfl:Human shampoo should be fine but try to find one that's not too fragranced, perfumed products might irritate the dogs skin.

I keep meaning to say that i've chucked out a razor that i'd been using for a week. Not really a UU but it's 1 less item anyway.

Either I don't ever use enough of stuff or I buy too big a bottles but I swear I never use any of my stuff up :p

It took me 9 months to use up a bottle of shampoo, and my bottle of body wash is still about 1/4 full after this time - probably sounds like I don't shower much lol, but I swear I use tonnes of the stuff every day and yet it never seems to go down :D

This is why I have sooooo much stuff!

I have a confession - I worked it out that if I go on current form with shampoo I need not buy anymore for the next 4.5years!

I've been using my big bottle of S&G Clean girls (i think) everyday since Christmas and there's only about 1/6 gone. The same with the Glad hair day shampoo that's not a particually big tube and that's been used every other day and is still going strong. My S&G Face wipes went pretty quickly though but that was because my darling son was using them as bum wipes.:eek::mad:

You need a teenage daughter or two!! My eldest can get through a bottle in 2 or 3 weeks. Has a shower and washes her hair everyday, so have to keep restocking for her.

Luckily its now dawned on me that the supermarkets nearly always have some shampoo/conditioner on sale so I dont really need to keep too stocked up.

Don't start me on shower gel usage. When it's just me using my stuff it can last for ages, especially conditioner (1 conditioner:2 shampoos). But when my sister is using it, a shower gel (S&G 500ml for exmaple) will last less than 3 weeks :( I've made her either replace mine or buy her own now. Same with shampoo. Luckily she's got her own TIGI stuff now, and I'm working my way through large bottles of Pantene Shampoo (3 pack - 1 UU - 1 in use) that I bought from Costco.

Still not finished my everlasting Elemis toner - it still has the same amount in as >two weeks ago! I've managed to use it with a full UU of an Elemis cleanser, and my current cleanser is the Bliss The Youth As We Know It (bought on offer from Debs in Jan) and I'm halfway through that. But will the toner finish?? No
No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

    INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
    2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91
    Savings from UUs: £60.50

  • I think my mum has liberated the Elemis bath oil I threw out the other day - I went in my parents' bathroom to borrow the scales last night and it was sitting on the side of their bath! Oh well, at least it's gone to a good home I suppose...

No UUs for me, but I'm wondering if I should post a full stash list - I do have a pretty extensive nail varnish collection but I don't really stash things like makeup and skincare and toothpaste and hair products that aren't shampoo...

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:at your son!

I've got a s&g clean girls shower gel to use next, and although I love it, I know how long it's going to take to use up :(

UU a Liz Earle 50ml skin tonic :( Love it, but seems a bit expensive, would bu again as part of a better value kit though

I also seem to have a never ending Liz Earle shampoo too!
