I've also done my nails again :j I noticed in some pics of celebs on twitter that they're all painting their nails all different colours (ie one nail pink, one purple, one yellow etc...) so I thought i'd give that a try with pinks and purples because there are some colours I wouldn't be brave enough to try and thought it would give me a chance to try them out without being committed to two hands full of luminous pink nails! :rotfl: The only problem now is I want to go buy more colours so I can have a rainbow of colours! :rotfl: :o

I need to invest in some decent nv remover - does anyone have any recommendations? :D

I want to do my nails in that style - I'm on a 'Nails of the Day' thread on another forum and it keeps giving me ideas for what to do (and encouraging me to buy more polish!), and one of the ones I want to try is like that with pink, green and blue. Today however they are one of the ones I bought this weekend - Topshop Nails in Geography Teacher which is a kind of khaki colour - as I have an interview tomorrow so can't exactly go wearing OPI Russian Navy despite it being beautiful :( I do have China Glaze For Audrey (Tiffany blue) on my toes, so it's all good :)

Re: nail varnish remover, I have Boots own brand acetone free nail polish remover, which is OK but does require a fair amount of work to get the polish off, especially if it's a glittery one. The other tip I'd suggest is to 'soak' your nails in the polish remover first by holding the pad down on the nail for ten seconds and then sweeping the polish off.

Just noticed that Mitchum is £1.85 in Tesco at the moment so may buy 1 next time I am in.

*makes a note of this as will be living ten minutes walk away from a big Tesco as of this weekend*

Batiste Dry Hair Shampoo Tropical: (forgot about this one earlier) WIBA? I have one of the 'Brit' flavour in stash and will buy more but not the Tropical - was very concious I smelt like Air Freshner when I used it :o :rotfl:

I can see what you mean. I didn't like tropical when I tried it either. Also I was a bit scared of using it because we had a bit of a wasp invasion in the bathroom and they all seemed to like the smell of the residue round the sprayer. Didn't want wasps in my hair

I'm doing pretty well on my own little 'use nice things instead of leaving them in the cupboard' challenge. I have 70p in my pot :) All buttered up today and I smell nice but it was difficult to get my jeans on!

Uncovering an awful lot of shower gels I got in gift sets. It takes me ages to get through them though. My last original source one lasted over a year before I made OH start using it too because I was bored of the smell! I think it's because I use soap too and have one (+3 in the cupboard:o) of the netty puff things. I do shower often, honest :D

    Morning all
    Welcome scrappie & gigglepig :hello:
Sarah*a - Can't believe the SA did not give you any samples -that is such bad form!

No UU's to report and resisting temptation, especially L'occitane code and the TBS offer tomorrow.

Not feeling well today - my right foot has swollen underneath on the ball of my foot (feels like I am walking on marbles) Taking my antihistamine and other tablets again as it is often related to my chronic hives and although there is not much of rash today apart from my palms I thought I better try and nip it in the bud. Feel so tired and lethargic. I'm supposed to be decorating this week as I've estate agents valuing the house next week and I wanted the house to look a little less shabby. Do not feel like painting the ceilings today though - cannot get myself going, just so exhausted:(
See you all tomorrow -bye for now.

nearly used up the Clarins body lotion WIBA mmmmmm it is realy nice and more like a butter as not at all runny BUT it is in a bottle that I have upside down but still am struggling to get the lotion out now am down to last couple of inches as hands not strong enough to squeeze bottle:(...don't know if I will be able to cut the bottom off either to get last dregs:(
felt good at the Clinique counter when sa was trying new foundation on me as when she asked what worries I had with my skin(e.g wrinkles((ok I have a few!)) spots/redness etc etc) all i said was its dry so all the stuff I use must be helping as lady before me (probably younger as with teenage daughter) moaned about her probs including her hot flushes(should I have told her you can get tablets for thet?????)...she had annoyed me by pushing in and taking ages with sa:mad:
doing the boots testing but hard to know how to answer about any improvemants in skin as can't compare accuratly how it was before I started!don't like the smell so won't be buying anyway

I think considering the travel sizes retail at £7 each and the 75ml handcreams are £13 the kits are a good price - I can get 15 -18 showers out of the 75ml sizes and they are lovely. The lavender hand gel (santitizer) is the best they are £5.50 and the Bonne Mere Soaps are £4 each. The Lavender hand cream is DIVINE! I didn't even need to check the prices online as I know them off by heart:o. I'm a bit of a L'occitane addict and have 15 of the 75ml shower gels when they were reduced to about £2 each. Ebay is also good to try for L'occitane and I tend to use tropicanaUK store.
BTW, I have just had an email from L'occitane with the code ADEL25
offering FREE DELIVERY on all orders over £10 and upgrading all orders to their Express Next Day Service.

Not that I am trying to tempt you.....

I got a 20% off 'welcome' code for L'Occitane in the mail this week - it's a unique code so can't publish it for sharesies sorry...must have been where I gave my address for the cheapy soap offer recently....must not look, must not use......actually it may be a good thing but without realising, I put my drink on it and smeared the code :rotfl: you can still sort of see it...it's valid until 24 April....if I haven't used it by mid April (which of course theoretically I won't have) I'll offer it out - not of course that you guys would be remotely interested!!??:rotfl::rotfl:

LOL at the people losing and finding things in the most obvious places - actually found it re-assuring cos when I do it I get convinced I'm getting altzeimers (which my poor, wonderful, gran had.)

Welcome to the newbies :D and hugs and purrs to those who need them. A friend of mine just told me she is breaking up with her husband after the stresses of this year. They moved to what was her dream house but he didn't want to move and did it for her. Not worked out. I'm not sure how to help her through it....any tips?

Going to be naughty today and spend my £5 BS voucher from the Clintons offer...goodness knows what I will get, I mean it's not like I need anything. I have been good in that I haven't been to Clintons since the weekend's original visit to stock up on more - which is actually a sign of progress for me!

Have to be good for April.....although the Avon catalogue did pop through last night - I would never have looked at it before this thread - had no idea how cheap some of their stuff is. Going to try a few hair products as soon as I need them (2012 then!)

UU a Lush Bath bomb thingy - was NOT a good experience - even ducky was a bit surprised at the vivid pink colour of the water!

Used the body polish obtained with S'drug voucher for 49p (!) this morning and instantly remembered that I really don't like using these which is why I haven't bought one in years. :o They weren't called polishes, then though ... But as it has a minty scent, my son will probably use it. I nicked a squirt of his OS Black Mint to actually wash with, the polish made me feel scrubbed but not cleansed, and covered in plastic beads.

I was on the point of using the Cowshed Grumpy Cow lotion up when a friend called unexpectedly (I'd spent two hours tidying my office before having a shower) - so on went the Nivea lotion which rubs in almost instantly. Prior to this thread, I was quite happy not to be moisturised, but not now!

Also tried the new Superdrug brunette conditioner and it was fine, phew.
Decided to work my way through my very ordinary Tesco Frequent Use Herbal shampoo, so that by the end of the year everything that I use will be a little bit of a treat. It's ordinary, but also pleasant enough and efficient in use, so it won't be too much of a hardship to use.

Just gave same friend a Chloe EDT or EDP spray which has been unopened in a drawer for years. Not my sort of fragrance and I know she will use it.

Urghhh....that pink bath doesnt look very tempting!! :(:(

A question for you ladies.......................do you layer scents???

it's just something that I started pondering while in the shower the other day. I've got a couple of "expensive" shower gels (now being used instead of saving) that have matching perfume, body spray and body lotions. But I dont know if its worth the extra expense to buy matching shower gels.

To me, it seems that the scent is stronger and lasts longer with the perfume and lotion, so I'm thinking I could just use a nice smelling cheap shower gel and add the scent when I'm dry.

    What are your thoughts?
