My skin and scalp has been quite sensitive recently, so I did a big stock take of everything in the bathroom to try to avoid any harsh chemicals. I was a bit shocked to see how much toiletries I have accumulated :-(

Can you put me down for the April challenge please? Thanks!

Of course - the more the better. Plus it reduces (hopefully) the percentage that's sat on the naughty step!!!

    Hi Ladies!
I have been following this thread for the past week or so, and think it would do me 'the world of good' to get involved. I'm assuming that you will have it up-and-running for April? If so, could I join you all please??? I know I'm asking a little bit early - but I'm working 12hr shifts on Fri/ Sat/ Sun and I want to make the commitment at the begining of the month. By the time I'm home on Monday there will be pages to read and I might not do it!!

My 'addiction' to cosmetics/ lotions/ potions etc is not helped by my lovely family and friends who are always buying me beautiful things -and sometimes 'just because' no occasion needed! While I don't want to seem ungreatfull - I really do need to 'get a grip' on the whole beauty side of the house.

My intention for tonight is to -
    a) hope that you ladies will accept me into the fold!
    b) search my 'stash' for 'regifting' to my god-daughter, her 16th birthday next week. So most likely lots of S/G stuff will now go with the Pandora bracelett I have for her.
    c) into the 'stash' again to see what I can give to mum as part of her mothers day gift - I'm sure there are some Decleor/ Bare Essentule products in there that she would love.
    d) into the 'stash' for a third time - to collect up all of the gift-sets that I just know I will not use. Charity shop for all of those tomorrow.

Reading all you ladies have said has spurred me on to 'take control' and the moment you all started talking about loosing stuff I knew I would fit right in. I lost my phone a few years back - reported to police/ phone company. New phone arrived. Found the old one three days later in the salad draw of the fridge!!! Don't ask - much alcohol was involved!!!

Everyone's welcome :D And you're doing well with your planned gift shopping. :T

I'm kicking myself - I keep forgetting to look for these 21p Tesco wipes you lot keep mentioning!!!

IN: daughter brought me a bottle of shower gel back from France. :D

OUT: Avon body lotion that smelt rank!!! probably been in the cupboard for about 4 years :o

UU: Shockwaves volume mousse - already bought a replacement as its my HG

Do you remember which body lotion it was as I have a few Avon ones so wanted to check if I had the same one as most of mine are over 5 years, although the one at the moment seems to be ok.

I hate that, why won't they give them out, most of the big names have samples but if you can manage to get some your doing really well. When you ask they look at you like your the lowest of the low. Boots have big drawers of perfume samples behind the cash desks (proper little spary samples too) and my local store is quite good at giving a couple of these out.

It's the "intermediate" level counters where the SA's are really snotty about samples I find - the big names like Molton Brown are always lovely - when I bought my Dad a bottle of handwash in there I asked if there was "anything new they were sampling" and she said straight away that there wasn't anything new, but there were a couple of shower gels she'd give me samples of. They are excellent, generous sized samples too.

Hi Scrappie, the sealed pot challenge is here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2899192

Basically the idea is you save as much as possible into a sealed pot throughout the year and open it on 1 December just in time for Christmas! The new challenge starts from 1 Dec each year but you're welcome to join in at any time of year. Everyone's really friendly, just pop in and say you'd like to join and you'll get a number allocated.

Good luck! This is my first challenge and I'm excited about seeing how much I end up with!

Thread looks like good fun - looking forward to it!!

I'm going shopping with my mum tomorrow - my first big test of not buying toiletries since I started the challenge - wish me luck ladies :rotfl:

I emailed S&G about the Hair Supply, they told me I could take it back for a refund (had it since Jan so I don't think I can?) and said they would send me a S&G 'Superstar' product to "make up for the disappointment". So thanks to whoever suggested I email them! :D The lady who replied said Hair Supply is one of their most popular products and it always receives rave reviews - not sure how :rotfl:

I have another UU today, a bottle of Ghost. WIBA? Yes, because it's one of my favourites. But I have 2 other bottles (not full) to get through first, plus what seems like 70 billion perfume oils and other perfumes so i'll put off buying it for now unless I see a good deal.

I've also done my nails again :j I noticed in some pics of celebs on twitter that they're all painting their nails all different colours (ie one nail pink, one purple, one yellow etc...) so I thought i'd give that a try with pinks and purples because there are some colours I wouldn't be brave enough to try and thought it would give me a chance to try them out without being committed to two hands full of luminous pink nails! :rotfl: The only problem now is I want to go buy more colours so I can have a rainbow of colours! :rotfl: :o

I need to invest in some decent nv remover - does anyone have any recommendations? :D

    Evening all,

Jumped onto my dad's netbook as trying to post from my phone takes far too long and my laptop's at work.

valm your post really made me laugh. all along he knew it was foot cream??! :rotfl:

thevicster I'm basically a yo-yo with how I'm feeling. So it's like everything's great, then an hour later utterly down. Getting used to it though, so try different things to occupy my mind now when I feel a 'down' bout coming on. Thanks so much for asking, it's really appreciated.

I'm also slightly stressed as been waiting an hour for my sister to get out the bathroom
Going to have a Lush The Comforter bath now methinks. Then come back and place a L'Occitane order if awake enough.

Welcome to all our new fellow addicts :D

Hopefully pop back on later tonight :)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just out of the bath ...... really missed not having one last night :( .... and have some UU's :T

Batiste Dry Hair Shampoo Tropical: (forgot about this one earlier) WIBA? I have one of the 'Brit' flavour in stash and will buy more but not the Tropical - was very concious I smelt like Air Freshner when I used it :o :rotfl:
No7 Soft Cocooning Body Butter: WIBA? It's sooooo expensive for 180ml but really good and skin-softening and really works on my elbows/knees. May treat myself when the next skinny comes.
S&G Clean on Me 50ml: WIBA? Yes - I like the creamyness as a showergel :D

Cuppa Tea, cuddle with my poorly furbaby (who's being unusually demanding tonight)and off to bed - see you all tomorrow
