I don't normally browse the L'Occitane site, but valm's post got me thinking. I was wondering how much the hand creams usually are (I usually get them free with a magazine or reduced gift set) and I came across this

    http://uk.loccitane.com/FO/Relaxing-Lavender-Trio,p95RETRELAXLAV11.htm

    and this

    http://uk.loccitane.com/FO/Romantic-Rose-Trio,p95RETROSE1411.htm

Do you think they're good value?

RE: large size products, it didn't annoy me until I started this challenge! Currently the S&G The Daily Smooth is driving me mad. Trying to squeeze bb out of a tube is no fun  Going to wash out my EL moisturiser pot and squeeze it into there to use I think.
No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

  • Am I the only one who actually likes S&G Hair Supply then? I can't say I've noticed that it smells particularly bad and actually prefer a thicker textured deep conditioner.

Re: stripping dye out of hair, I used to use Lush I Love Juicy shampoo when I was trying to get the red dye streaks out of my hair. Possibly not good on red though as it went a bit ginger (hence why I wish I could Photoshop mine and OH's grad ball photo as apart from me having a ginger fringe it's a lovely picture).

On crackle, I'm holding out for the Models Own ones which come in nine different colours and are due to come out next month. Am not intending to buy them all but a fair few might find their way into my shopping basket...

Also, can anyone recommend a good deodorant/anti perspirant? I'm currently using a couple of Body Shop ones but since I started working out regularly they don't seem to be as effective as they were. I've got a Boots voucher for 100 points when buying female deodorant and the Body Shop ones are on the way out, so was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations.

I know what you mean, I always look terrible in pictures, I always end up photoshopping them before they go online or whatever :rotfl: Few pounds lost here and there, spot dissappeared, smile straightened etc haha. Tis fab as no-one knows. To be honest I think its impossible to get a 'perfect' picture without a iittle bit of help :p

Oh I finally found my phone again the other day - turns out it was in my coat pocket all along, never mind the fact Id checked them about 100 times....really swear Im loosing it sometimes.

Didnt get to town today in the end - spent the entire afternoon feeling pretty rubbish, not ill just fed up...OH sometimes really does my head in!

My HG Deo is Mitchum - I haven't found anything better. Alternatively - there seem to be some decent offers on Right Guard, Sure and Dove at Boots at the moment.

As I mentioned yesterday my facial moisturisers/serums were at 46, so have sorted that out a bit today.

3 are listed on e-bay, yet to sell as only put on today but they should. 4 are 7ml samples, 3 from olay and one from Avon so have decided they will be used up for neck and decollet... rather than chopping and changing face creams. Use up quite quickly that way too. 3 others have been demoted to foot creams, 1 is M&S calming day cream, this was my neck cream but had to snip it today and I don't like using them on face or neck when the tube is open at the top.

Other 2 are S/D Natural High day and night creams, I used these for a while but found after several weeks they clogged my pores. And finally one going back to Boots for a refund.

So thats 46 down to 35. Still bad but better:j Of the 35 4 are in use every day, 1 day cream, 1 night cream, 1 blemish serum for day and 1 swiss apple serum for night.

Charlie792 - I lost my phone once walking back from Mum and Dad's with the dog, checked all the usual places about 50 times, rang M&D who searched their house and garden and the street and even neighbours gardens. I then re-checked all the usual places and eventually re-traced my steps back to their house looking all over the street and road - nothing. Went back home and found the sodding thing in the little zip up compartment of my handbag where I always kept it at the time - I checked this sooooooooooooooo many times I can't see how I missed it.

For various reasons this month I have missed most of the thread. I am going to keep up in April, because once you get behind it's tough to catch up!

Quiet month on the toiletry front, one more UU - Pantene pro V conditioner (bought from Poundland when money was a bit tight) It was quite good but I will be replacing it with a John Frieda Frizz Ease conditioner as that is my favourite. I've now used up my daily conditioners and only have 1 1/2 tubes of the weekly conditioner that comes with Perfect 10 colour (the dye is very average but the conditioner is great).

A couple of ins: I bought 2 Vicks First Defence hand sanitizers, they were 2 for £1 at Poundland I use this a lot so it won't mount up into a stash and at that price had to get them.
Keep going everyone, the pay off comes when you can go guilt free shopping for replacements and buy the stuff you really like and in PRCP style can use straight away.

I have now more or less cracked the washing/hairwashing products and just have the make-up/perfume/lotion and cream stashes to go. :(

A very tiny UU: Avril Lavigne Forbidden Rose sample (on a postcard - but was still quite a lot). WIB(A)? It smelt weird at first, so thought it had been on my desk far too long. But now it smells quite nice. So yes, maybe, if I can use up at least two bottles of something from my stash :o

I really have a shopping urge  Think it's due to feeling seriously stressed and :(

I'm aiming to use up my ballistics all this week so I can buy something guilt free

Although that reduced price L'Occitane set might be gone by then... ;)

Sorry to hear about the stressiness, have lots of baths and buy the guilt free ballistics. If you get the L'Occitane it will just sit there looking at you radiating guilt rays. :D

A few weeks back I had a mega-panic - I was leaving a hotel after a weekend away, reached into the zip up pocket in my bag and thought, "S***, where's my railcard?!" Cue emptying and repacking bag, turning room upside down etc... and then finding it in one of my jacket pockets after putting it there in case I needed my ticket to get through the barriers at the train station :o

I'm naturally really dippy like that though, doing things like going upstairs and forgetting why I went up there or taking my glasses/jewellery off and then forgetting where I've put it. No wonder my mum calls me the absent minded professor!
