    Evening all

A simple UU for me today - Tesco Baby Wipes which I use to take off makeup when I'm lazy! WIBA? yep cos they are cheap and last ages.

I'm proud that I went away for 3 days and didn't buy any new travel toilettries, I took the ones I have stocked up, and decantered shampoo into an old bottle :D

Got home today to find that my HG perfume Emporio Armani She 30ml (bought on eBay for £7.50) had arrived, and the lovely seller had popped 3 samples in the envelope too. So, unintentional freebie INs of Ricci Ricci, Nina L'Elixir and Guerlain Idylle. I've had a squirt of the Ricci Ricci after my bath and so far am loving it, it starts of quite sharp and fruity but dies down to a lovely soft sweet fragrance.

Adilade, its funny how fragrances are different on people isn't it? A friend of mine used to use Burberry London (the bottle with the little check jacket:rotfl:) and I thought it was lovely till I sprayed some on myself one day  It was just sour, chemically and very nasty. This is why I buy so many of the sample vials, I think I have a funny body chemistry or something:o

Urghhh....that pink bath doesnt look very tempting!! :(:(

A question for you ladies.......................do you layer scents???

it's just something that I started pondering while in the shower the other day. I've got a couple of "expensive" shower gels (now being used instead of saving) that have matching perfume, body spray and body lotions. But I dont know if its worth the extra expense to buy matching shower gels.

To me, it seems that the scent is stronger and lasts longer with the perfume and lotion, so I'm thinking I could just use a nice smelling cheap shower gel and add the scent when I'm dry.

    What are your thoughts?

I am a fan of layering too. At the mo my body lotion in Jasper Conran and I am using the matching scent which I love. In general though I follow what other people have posted in matching up groups of smells!!

Good luck with the application charlie.

Hope you are feeling better Bev.

Hello  and welcome to all the newbies. That is a great start Scrapie

Is anyone else watching that superscrimpers programme? If we think we overspend there's a family on there who had a joint income of £108,000 but still manage to overspend by over £30,000 a year

How the other half live eh?

I think you've boggled my mind as i don't think i own 10 polishes, and i bet the highest percentage of them are clear.

I'm terribly tempted by the Body Shop's Deodry deodorants that are currently at £2.50 each and 30% off and free postage (works out at £1.75 each before cashback). Will have to see how I hold out against them for the rest of the evening! I really like these, and don't have any left (but do have LOTS of Mitchum).

I came out in a terrible rash that started Thursday night and got worse over the weekend. The nurse practitioner gave me steroid tablets for the weekend, then the doctor I saw on Monday gave me piriton tablets, which I'm taking as often as I'm allowed! My arms have swollen and I have a terrible itchy rash almost all over. Thankfully it has been very slightly less itchy today - hopefully the anti-histamine are doing their thing! Anyway, it's meant I've used less products over the last few days, as I didn't want to aggravate it!

Here are the last of March's use-ups etc :)

    In:
    - Nothing! :j

    Used up: :T

    - Weleda Wild Rose Intensive Facial Masque (30mL). WIBA? Yes, probably. I actually used it as a night cream, and it always made my face feel very moisturised and soft.
    - Clinique Happy perfume spray (2mL). WIBA? Possibly. As I said in my last post, I used to wear this a lot, and it's a refreshing scent. I will consider purchasing it again when all my GWP sizes are used up and I've used up more of my perfumes.
    - L'Oreal Refinish Post-Treatment Optimising Moisturiser (40mL). WIBA? No. Came with a face scrub as part of a “microdermabrasion set”. Was ok, but nothing spectacular.
    - Pantene Ice Shine Conditioner (400mL). WIBA? No, I'm not especially fond of Pantene. It's full of silicones. I got this one to trial along with the matching shampoo and had to get rid of the shampoo because it gave me spots on my scalp.
    - Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover for lids, lashes & lips (125mL). WIBA? Yes, definitely! Removes all makeup, including mascara, without pulling my skin. My favorite makeup remover.
    - No7 Protect & Perfect Moisturising Body Serum (200mL). WIBA? Only if on exceptional offer. I used this on my decolletage, but didn't think it did a lot really. It's also far too expensive as a body cream for me to buy it regularly.
    - Clinique Happy Body Smoother (30mL). WIBA? No. It smelt lovely, but the reason I stopped using it way back was because this product caused a rash if I used it for too many days in a row. Have not had a problem this time around, but have used it a max of two days in a row, just to be safe!
    - Clarins Eau Dynamisante (50mL). WIBA? Yes, I really like this as a day-time fragrance. Luckily I have a full-size one to open after I've used up some other fragrance minis.
    - Avon Skin So Soft & Smooth hair minimising roll-on anti-perspirant deodorant (50mL). WIBA? Probably not. While this deodorant worked well, I have decided that I much prefer stick deodorants, as I hate having to wait for my deo to dry! I have no idea if it reduced the amount of hair regrowth.
    - Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Refiner for face (5mL). WIBA? No. This was a sample size. I didn't think it was scrubby enough, and wasn't keen on the creamy feel.
    - Holland & Barrett Aloe Vera Gel (100mL). WIBA? Probably, when I feel I need some again. It was definitely soothing. Used this on my rash.

    - Johnson's baby moisturising cream (100mL). WIBA? Yes, definitely. I bought this originally for the Tesco points, but realised it's actually very good as a hand cream. I went through this tube very quickly as I've had a nasty allergic reaction, and I figured if it's safe enough for a baby's sore bottom, it should be “safe” enough to use on my inflamed skin too.

    Thrown out: :o

    - Loulou perfumed body lotion (200mL). Quite a lot left, but very old. This is a possible culprit for my allergic reaction, so I thought it should go.
    - Loulou perfumed shower gel (20mL). As above. Better safe than sorry.

    Gifted:

    - Three boxes, each of ~ 2kg, to Give and Make Up. One almost full of sachets that I'll never get round to using, one of makeup and makeup brushes, one with e.g. shampoo that didn't suit my hair. I'm feeling good that others will get use out of the items that don't really suit me.
