Just a thought on the Body Shop........
with all the 50% / 60% , free delivery, practically give-it-away deals on current stock they've had since Xmas................will any of you ever pay full price for an item or pay for delivery there again?
I know I won't ! This must be pulling them through difficult trading times rather succesfully, but it has changed my perception of the value of their products longterm.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean - I'm already reluctant to pay full price for something and all the deals and offers just reinforces it. You know there's gonna be another one the same - or better - within a few weeks so just hang on and save the money.
Of course if the prices weren't so over-inflated in the first place ...rosemary54 wrote: »ladies I have a problem!

This is driving me crazy!! Twice now I've tried to print the coupon but it just keeps making my laptop freeze. I'll try again when OH is in the bath and I can get on the desktop but it's very frustrating. Good find though
Nothing exciting on the toiletries front here - no IN's or UU's and my splutterer's are still going. I used a No7 voucher today to get some Muslins but they are going to my Mum as part of her birthday/mother's day gift. Loads and Loads (and - quite frankly even loads more ) Boots Expert Sensitive Conditioner/Intensive Conditioner on the clearance today and I picked some up .... and then put it back again :T
The Ruby and Millie counter has completely gone from 2 of the brum stores - nothing there at all, not even any clearance stuff - so heavens knows where they've sent it?
Got a free bag of coffee from Starbucks today - so will have to give the machine a bit of a scrub and put it back into action
Found a local charity to have the Sofa - but there's a tale! Since xmas (when we got our 'new' sofa - for nothing from the neighbours) I've been trying to find somewhere to donate out old one. I finally found it (a local charity that sells furniture to people on low incomes/benefits for next-to-nothing) and told OH and he says 'oh yeah - I send people there all the time' :eek:I could have screamed!!!
On the upside I have - through my searching - found another local charity that is looking for toiletries donations (and food/dog food as well) Birmingham Christmas Shelter. So I am going to make a box up through the year and let them have it towards the end of Nov. :T
Had a nosy at the No7/Sanctuary GWP's and I like the Sanctuary one but am a bit hmmmmm on the No7. Not interested in the make-up and don't need £22 worth of stuff so won't bother with that one. If the Sanctuary one is still going when I need Body Butter I think I'll plump that way
I'm going to have a long pampering bath tonight - the full works - body scrub, face mask, hair treatment and hands and feet at bedtime.
Hope everyone is well :cool:0 -

Am resisting the BS deals :A(quite easily actually since I counted my body butters) but if anyone is looking at them, read the thread on grabbit board for a few potential 'glitches' to get a bit more value from the deal.
it's just nivea soft in the white pot or tube that can be used for face, hands and body. The tubes were 99p in superdrug and I was very tempted...:D
I really want the coconut bundle (and if I spend £25 do I get another free coconut body butter?:rotfl:) but I will resist :TToiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:130 -

Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Evening ladies
2 UU for me in the last couple of days
Avon 50's glam body spray - WNBA, wasn't a strong enough fragrance on its own, I think you would need the perfume to go with it. And the aerosol spray cans don't seem to last any time at all!
Nicky Clarke Hairomatherapy Intensive Repair treatment - WNBA, and I very much doubt if you still can, its an ancient sachet of stuff that has been cluttering up my cupboard for years!
I'm not convinced intensive treatments do anything to my hair, but since this sachet lasted me 4 showers it might just be that I'm not using enough!!They are the 3ml size, I have 18 at the moment:o
I get the little size then if I don't like it its not such a wrench to chuck it out. They do last a long time as u really only need a little, they're pretty concentrated so a little goes a long way. When I ever finish a favourite one I'll either get the larger bottle or possibly the spray.
I use www.perfume-parlour.co.uk but they also have a shop on eBay, same prices.
I have heard good things about these oils and just need to use up some of my perfumes so I can try them out!! I've already had a browse on the website and they have loads of fragrances I want to get.
I'll need to get spraying to finish my stash!!
Fingers crossed that I will get my March UU to be more than my Ins!!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -

Thanks for some reason I was going to order the 6ml ones, the bottles look so cute in you pics. Do you just buy those now or do you still buy regular perfumes?

Hi,
I have a UU and an In to declare
UU
TBS Coconut Body butter: WIBA? This is the first ever product I bought from TBS and I am not very impressed. I was expecting it to be mostly natural like lush but it's not so WNBA . I still have a big TBS stash to go through though.
IN
Nizoral shampoo: I have tried lots of things but dandruff didn't go away so bought Nizoral shampoo as the last resort. Fingers crossed it works... as dandruff always lowers my self confidence at work.
Happy pampering everyone

I tend to get the oils mostly now, tho lately I've ordered several sample bottles of the genuine articles. However, if I like the samples I'll more than likely order the oil (if they have it) rather than spend £30-40 on the full size bottle. Most of the oils are so good u couldn't tell it wasn't the real thing. The biggest disappointment was Samsara which was horrendous so I got the genuine 30ml at Xmas.
And Celebrate- I thought my lust for fragrance was bad till I read your Lloyds posts:eek::eek::eek::rotfl:0 -

I'm having the same problem with Avon's Eternal Magic spray - its just not strong enough!! I quite like the smell though so I'm spraying it directly to my clothes to try and make it smell a little longer when I'm wearing it.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
Hi everyone
Thanks for all your birthday wishes:) - it really helped to lift my spirits yesterday and I had a lovely day.
Thanks for the info - a few years ago I was an Orflame lady (a bit like Avon) which at the time was quite a big thing in my area -I did a few parties and sold a few things but it fizzled out and my other job took priority. The products were quite good though!
I have looked at my local college website to see if they do typing courses but couldn't see any- will have to give them a ring and find out.
I phoned up to get another appointment to see an advisor and left a message so hopefully I can get the ball rolling again and be a bit more persistant this time! I am sure I'm not completely unemployable!! However, not sure if I need a careers advisor or a life coach!
I thought my degree (Psychology) was worthless too especially as it was so long ago, but the advice I got was that it does show commitment and the academic level achieved.
I have been looking into these nail products and if the black is no good, they are bringing out some more colours
http://www.nailsandbeautydirect.com/opi-serena-glam-slam-rally-pretty-pink--red-shatter-duo-1045-p.asp
Don't know about the website -tempted to pre -order but they have no contact phone number listed on the website -anyone heard of them?
By the way - my debenhams order arrived today: http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_157005942599_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7Etxtloccitane and what the hell - I am keeping both the sets (although it won't just be me using it but the whole family). My gift drawer is pretty full - off to update my stash list.mcculloch29 wrote: »Just a thought - how long did it take you to type the above? There are online typing tutors and you may well already have a decent speed.
Two of my course colleagues on my most recent teaching maths to adults course were psychology graduates and we talked about how no matter what the degree was, obtaining it showed commitment, dedication to study, and a general level of academic ability. Degrees open doors and whilst there are a lot of unemployed graduates many of them will find the fact that they have a degree useful in the long run.
Thanks for that...it's good to know that my degree (and lots of debt) does count for something!
Loving the new shatter colours too...I read somewhere online that OPI are planning to launch a silver shatter colour sometime in April too as part of the Katy Perry range...will definitely buy that one!
Got an email today from Boots saying that I dodn't get the job...they must have hated me to let me know that quickly :rotfl:I'm not that sad about it though as I really don't know if I would have taken it or not, and I hope it has gone to someone who really, really wanted itI have so much of my life and things to sort out before I think about getting a new job really...this year I really need to get my !!!!!! together before I turn 30 in January!!!!! :rotfl:
Did manage to cheer myself up with some INs from Elf though

Oops! Wanted to see if I can blend the facial whip and blusher together to get a Benefit-esque bronzed effect like the girls showed me at a fraction of the price! :rotfl:
Much love and many thanks for the good wishes xXxI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0
