Hi everyone
thevicster sorry about the job. It would have been nice but if you're not sure you should trust your instinct. I'm sure the perfect job for you will come along soon. Maybe with nails inc..I'm also going to be 30 next year, which is a milestone. But with everything that's happened, I'm ashamed to admit I can't think of the future at all without wanting to cry
Thanks for the promo code on the Barry M crackles, going to check them out later, hopefully I'll remember! The OPI ones look really nice too. But trying to keep costs down!!
flirtini The de-puffing eye serum is nice. I'm trying to UU my EL eye gel before I carry on with the Clinique one, but I do like it.I also like the eye makeup remover, and the new serum (Even Better?) is quite nice, not sure it made a difference though. As for TBS bundles, there's no doubt it's a great deal, but if you already have loads in your stash, how much do you want to add to it? (That's the argument I'm using on myself anyway)
The Vitality Show was good. Lots of freebies, which I obviously loved. Bought a few bits from Organic Surge (BOGOF) and Jelly Pong Pong (never used before, but looked a good deal). I also got a Benefit One Hot Minute powder free with the promo codeI used to book tickets. I haven't opened all the goody bags yet as we got in quite late last night, but I'll sort a list out tonight or tomorrow and share my INs.
p.s. If anybody is thinking of going, I would recommend it even just for the freebies, and it is fun. Take a trolley case, seriously. I felt stupid on the way there, but on the way back my shoulders were so very grateful. Also, don't bother with the Sally Hansen manicure. Paid £5, for a 20 minutes treatment, at least 5-10 minutes was drying time. My cuticles were grateful for thte attention, but that was it. She splodged on the Mircale Cure (I think it was that anyway), so today I have splodges and it's peeling. It also doesn't include a colour btw.
They also were doing massages, teeth whitening (in public!!), botox (I mean seriously??!), free hand massages (that was nice), and so on. The only service I paid for was the manicure type thing. I'm not keen on having other stuff done in public view.
Benefit was 15% off but I didn't buy as lookfantastic are still offering Benefit 20% off. UNE was buy 2 items for £14 and get a free Green Beauty Bible. But the colours of shadows and liners didn't seem to have very good staying power.
BTW, I'm miffed with my B**ts mailings vouchers, £5 worth of points wys £50!! I haven't spent that much in absolutely ages£5 off wys £20 on Too Faced (which is really tempting as I wanted to try their Shadow Insurance - but a £20 spend involves other purchases
)
OMG, just realised I'll have to update my sig after listing the stuff. I spent £17.50 at Jelly Pong Pong, and £9 at Organic Surge. I think that was it toiletries/makeup-wise. The manicure doesn't count, does it?? I mean technically it wasn't an in?No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

why not buy something cheap like a lip balm(about £10 I think or coloured £13 or the new eye roller thing....sorry forgot name but its a pink roller with a steel roller that feels nice when applied about £20/22) I too am looking to try the new foundation from Boots bonus time.
re body shop if you will use it all go for it
ooh, I forgot about the new eye roller thing. I could do with something eye based to try to keep wrinkles at bay - I can see the first ones developing and I rub my eyes a fair amount takin makeup off and with contact lenses etc... might have a look...Flirtini, re the body shop offer; If you will use all of it and love it, go for it. Make your order up to >£25 for the free body butter and then use the £5 off voucher to get it cheaper than if you were to actually just buy the set and pay for delivery. bought 3 because I will use all of the items in there and the ones that I don't use immediately will be used for gifts as occasions come around. I'm coming into a run of girly birthdays so will be using the items for this purpose as everyone loves TBS and views them as expensive so I get to have extra pampering items for myself for the pice of 2.5 peoples gifts (we go on a £20 price range for gifts).
As for the clinique, if you don't need make up remover atm and don't really need/ want the GWP, I would save your money. Just get the foundation as it's your HG.
Quick q though, what are you going to do with all of your other foundations? If you are going to use them, could you use them all up and then go and buy the Clinique in the hope that there's a better offer/ you need make up remover by then? Or can you not bear to use them? If you can't bear to use them, get rid of them and don't hang onto them.
What £5 off voucher? Evidently I've not been reading hard enough! :rotfl:And it's a bit late now - as soon as I had Rosemary's 'permission' I hopped on via quidco and bought it- so hopefully will get the lyb card and cashback too, plus I was savvy enough to add an extra body lotion (shea again!) to bring the price up enough to get free delivery and the free coconut body butter! Feel slightly proud of myself!
You now have me wondering if I should get another for a friend's bday gift - but her bday isn't until June, and I do have a box of gift sets I can use so I should probably refrain!
As for my other foundations - I'm going to attempt to use them and if I use them a couple of times and find I can't bear to or they just don't really work, then I'll throw them. Some are slightly dark so I'll need to hold fire until I start to tan, others I seem to remember being either too liquid or too thick - but I figure they're easier to try to work through when I know I have my HG in the bathroom to fall back on should I start to look like a clown!:D
I think maybe you're right about trying to save my money and view it as an unneccessary purchase though if there's really nothing else I need (or not at clinique prices, anyway)!

Thanks for all your advice guys! I guess at least I'm starting to actually think about what I'm buying, so it's a start!
I did wonder about the Vitality Show as it's not far from me... but have decided I'm probably best off avoiding at all costs, otherwise temptation might be too great!!!:rotfl:

I've just used my Sublime mousse voucher in Superdrug,* made some other purchases and was given a £3 off Superdrug own brand products voucher because I had 'spent' over £10.
I actually only spent £3.48.
The £3 voucher is valid from Monday 28th March until Sunday 10th April.
The Superdrug own brand products must total £3 or more, but there would appear to be no minimum spend.
This means I can get some free toiletries ....:j:j:j
Woo-hoo, another no cash spent on toiletries month but still managing to acquire things I need!
* I chose Radiant Golden Brown. I steered clear of anything darker. It will still probably come out dark brown / black as there are some FB postings reporting this, apparently. has anyone ever coloured their hair using henna? if so does it cover grey & is it a two person job or very messy. I need to colour my hair as my roots are showing but i've got a few hair colours on it which are at various stages of 'faded' i'd like to go back to something more natural and keep wondering about henna.
TIA for any help/tips/advice0 -

I've used henna a long time ago and its very effective but be prepared to walk around with a plastic bag on your head for a long time!
I'm not sure though how compatable henna is with the dyes already on your hair.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
Lemon Tree, if you have a Lush near you, the very latest Lush catalogue/magazine has good instructions on how to use their henna. It does seem time-consuming, but the photos of results look good.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... My mum uses only henna. She mixes it up herself, and wraps cling film around it. If she wants to go out, just ties a scarf back over it
Forgot to say I had UUs!!
Boots Extracts Mango Body Wash 75ml - WIBA? Well I bought it last year in the little gift set with the BB in the 75% off sale. I have another 1 or 2 in the stash. I do love the smell - it's heavenly :A
