i think if the body butter blocking pores was true we'd all be one huge great spot! i know personally i'm now at the stage where i am determined to use up my first ever 500ml tub! i've 4 of the bu99ers which i've never even cracked the lid on, i've only ever finished one 150ml tub in my entire life! i'm determined to get this one done! lol

I must be missing something fundamental with the DTD Tesco thing as I can't even find the website everyone is talking about checking the prices on! It's not as simple as just checking the online price against the Asda one, is it?

Vicster Well done! Sounds like it went really well, so I will cross my fingers for you!

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!

I have sinned...damn Tesco:( I actually wanted Atrix as my hands have been suffering a bit (even through the hand creams arent finished yet) but they dont seem to stock it anymore so I treated myself to a Nivea lotion. Should have gone for shampoo and conditioner mind as on my last bottles.

Actually I'm not sure its all Tesco's fault, I've been struggling the last couple of weeks the urge to buy has been strong lol at least moisuriser body and face and shampoo and conditioner are fairly miminal, which is more than I can say for shower/bath gel and soap...that will still be going by the end of the year I suspect.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

oh forgot to say, the occupation of my dreams - Scrapbook shop owner who lives by the seaside and has a tea rooms adjoined to a huge shop and classroom area, with lots of daschunds in the back garden. You could say i've thought about this before. Oh forgot i also must have a girraffe and a heffa lump in the back garden, though they're not allowed in the heated swimming pool!!!

I managed to completely avoid the BS 50% off thing and will be averting my eyes if there is another Groupon this week - thankfully (like the last one) it's coming during the one week of the month when we don't really have any spare cash :D

There's a very enticing offer on the Grabbit Board for a free £5 Body Shop voucher when you spend £1 on a gift card at Clintons but you didn't hear it from me ;).

I have a very large IN! But, I'm not going to sit on the naughty step as it's not toiletry related, it's a new sofa :D. Those guys at Ikea are bu99ers though for their misleading pricing. It ended up costing £55.09 more than advertised. Of course, I have emailed CS to complain but I bet they'll do naff all about it :( Oh well, desperately needed it.
Also got DS a desk and a folding chair, DD a sheepskin rug as they had whole ones there this time and Willow (moggie) has also been bought a sheepskin rug for the lounge. She has proceeded to kill it happily for a few minutes and is now asleep on the sofa :) (the old one, we can't get the new one through the door yet so need to unwrap it and have a fiddle!
Not looking forward to the manouvers needed to get that into the lounge!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Many apologies for keeping you all waiting!

Well, it was quite fun! The first half of the interview was the bog standard questioning, tell me something you're passionate about, what are yor strengths, how would you deal with a product launch blah, blah, blah! The second part was actually on the No7 counter - she wanted to see how I dealt with customers - I sold two things! :rotfl:a nail polish and a mascara :rotfl:Bless the customers, they were asking me about shades of eyeshadows and things! Hopefully I blagged that okay :rotfl:Currently the account is worth £800,000 which they want to boost to a million  There's a team of five people to control and basically it sounds like a very scary grown up person's job :rotfl:Am I grown up enough? Not sure! The training is good though, a five day jolly in Nottingham learning about skincare and applying make up and stuff, all expenses paid :rotfl:I'm not sure exactly what they are looking for, but I suspect they want someone from outside the industry who wants to do lots of promos, blowing up balloons and dressing up and stuff (I LOVE that kind of thing!). Anyway, not sure what to do - will just hang fire and see if I get the job (should hear early next week). At the very least it would be a £3,000 increase in wages a year, potentially more (will get an offer with job offer if I should get the job) which would be a mega boost to our earnings. A LOT of responsibility though :o

Sounds great, well done. I have my fingers crossed for you, when do you find out?
  • Evening all, finally managed to catch up!

    Now time to confess....

have a few ins mainly as a result of tesco! pantene shampoo & conditioner, herbel essence shampoo and conditioner and olay serum and night cream - just hoping that i get dtd back on them!
Also went to boots to get a no7 tinted moistriser and s&g bubbles and body wash to take full advantage of the three for two and no7 voucher. I think I belong on the naughty step!

    Do have some uus
    - boots extract coco bean body wash - was nice but wnba as the price puts me off as not that special.
    - nivea hand cream which came in a xmas set, ok but loads other hand creams to use before buy any new ones.
    - s&g clean on me body wash - I really like this & another one in the stash ready to use.

Right off to the naughty step now (via the tesco thread!) night all x

The interview sounds like it went really well Thevicster.

Charlie - I am seconding (or thirding?) the suggestions about volunteering a few hours a week in your choosen career area. There are a lot of volunteer positions avaialble at the mo in lots or areas. Not only will this boost your experience but provide some valuable networking opportunities to put you in touch with some useful people/organisations that will be able to help get you started in your field. I know it means having to hold off on some of your plans just now and financially may put an extra strain on things but it sometimes is who you know....IYKWIM.

I have another splutterer - my HG Louise Galvin Volumising Shampoo 300ml I have another one in my stash but will need to look out for a deal on it now.
