Damn.... I go away for a weekend and you streak out more than a dozen pages!

I'm still catching up (no, I dont' wear nail polish either) and there is so much to read, but I wanted to update my lists... one OUT - the Estee Lauder eyemake up remover had gone off in a big way. I think it might have been in the box for more than five years, so I'm not really surprised.

Irritatingly, an IN - I was away for the weekend and came down with a streaming cold, which for me always involves cracked dry lips (from chewing them when I am sick). I hadn't got one in my bag, so had to pick one up while I was in Holland. I did resist the urge to steal all the little pots from the hotels though - used them up having bubble baths instead!

    Best wishes x

Your post made me laugh! 6 weeks is not that long a stretch of time between Mally purchases you know! TBH that's why I've given up on watching QVC because it's the same brands being shown over and over - there doesn't seem to be anything new.

    I know! :o:o:o:o

If she doesn't bring any new stuff next time though, then I probably own almost of it by now and so will be safe! :rotfl:

If that doesn't work I may have to "forget" she's on. ;)

I get bored with the big ones that are always on - Gatineau, Decleor, Elemis - but I can only hope and wish and pray for the day that I am bored by Mally to come round very soon! :D

Charlie - all the best with the job hunt. Getting up your typing speed is a brilliant idea, and even though you don't drive that won't exclude you from everything. Am I right in thinking you're in Cardiff? There may well be summer temp. jobs on the horizon around the city. If I read right and your degree will be in criminology, that does seem to be an oversubscribed area. (One of my learners - working for a major fast food chain - had a criminology degree and so does a friend who works as a teaching assistant.)
Having said that, I wouldn't have got the job I do now without my degree - it was a major factor in swinging things my way.

Vicster, I am so glad it went well - x fingers!

:bdaycake: Bev - also wishing you good luck as well as a lovely day. I totally agree with jobs never being advertised. Both mine were, but on Friday a former course colleague has an interview for a post with one of the companies I work for. She expressed real interest in my job last year and when the call went out to all existing staff - 'Know any good tutors?' - from the company, I thought of her straight away.

I just thought back to ten years ago.

My childminding work was drying up and I faced losing my house. I cashed in an endowment to survive and took a course to train as an adult education tutor. I had to take voluntary work to get teaching experience, but that turned in to a job. I've had four different types of job since, and done many courses. I scare myself by imagining what would have happened if I hadn't retrained. I was lucky, I know, but I also helped to make that luck

On topic - a UU A 75 ml Coty Healing Garden Green Tea body lotion - found at the back of a cupboard! At least 6 years old, alas, and a bit past its best it would seem. Just as an elderly Lavender lotion did, it seemed to go 'bitty' after it was rubbed in, really odd. Another good reason to fully employ PRCP. WIBA? No, there are other things on the market that I prefer - this was a gift, so not a deliberate purchase. Faint but pleasant scent, despite the age. I don't have that lovely pampered feeling I normally have though -due to the 'bittiness' It's as if I'd used a shower scrub and not rinsed or dried but let it lie on my skin. Can't wait to shower it off - which I will do tomorrow. I think I may relegate the Lavender hand cream I have to yet another foot cream as I suspect this will do the same.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

I used the balanced Elemis set which is for combination skin. It lasted really well too. I used day and night since the end of October. I paid £18 online from salon skincare (discount code and cashback). QVC regularly have it on offer too. Last time they had a set plus the day moisturiser for £27ish.

Have a nice night ladies - I am off to the pics to see The Lincon Lawyer to  over Matt Mc & Ryan P...

Thanks for this - I'll keep an eye out for deals like that while I use up my current cleansers.

Let us know what The Lincoln Lawyer is like! I'm with you on the drooling - however I seem to remember reading the book of this years ago and not being too impressed by it... Can't really remember though!

Selfridges and John Lewis usually run a promotion where you pay £25.00 for the cleanser and toner and get a small Maximum Moisture day cream free. I have used the lavender toner and found that I had to use it sparingly or it dried my skin out.

Aha, I shall also keep an eye on those then! Good to know about the toner - I have very combination skin, and it's very easy to tip one way or the other into massively dry or massively oily. The more I think about it, the more I'm sure I'm actually dehydrated, so my skin is actually dry, but is trying to compensate hence the oil slick I occassionally get...

I'm sure I put another quote on the multi-quote thing, but nothing's come up and I can't remember so if anyone else gave me valuable advice, many thanks! :D

    On with business;
Vicster - good luck, have my fingers crossed for you!

Bev97 - Happy birthday, have a fantastic day!

Charlie - hope the job situation picks up soon for you. I don't think I have any wisdom to add to what's already been said. And rubbish news about your computer. :( sending a virtual hug your way.

    More UU for me!
An eyeshadow - I think this was Natural Collection 'Shell' or something similar - used right down to the pan and all the dusty bits so feeling quite MSE about that one.

Avon face wipes - had been open for a while and started to get a little dry so probably just about used up in time for them to still work well. WBA, I already have more wipes for the moment though. (Although whenever I go home, my mum has usually been ordering from Avon and got me some wipes, eyeliner etc...!)

At this rate my bathroom will be empty before I know it! Oh... er... (remembers how many boxes of bottle I actually have in there...) maybe not... :rotfl:

.....i would recommend getting your iron levels checked and a thyroid function?

I used to lose a lot of hair and since I had my thyroid checked and started taking levothyroxine it's practically stopped :D I still get the odd migration but thats usually down to whatever abuse I've put it through :rotfl:
There's a very enticing offer on the Grabbit Board for a free £5 Body Shop voucher when you spend £1 on a gift card at Clintons but you didn't hear it from me ;).

Not looking .... not looking ..... not looking ..... Looked :rotfl: Will wait until it's instore so I don't have to pay postage (don't need to buy a Mother's Day Card to get the Free Postage - have made my own :p)

Boyf told me tonight I use too much body butter and am clogging my pores - is this true??

It probably would be true if you never bathed and just slathered on the Butter everyday :rotfl: I use a lighter lotion in the morning and the thicker butters at night so it can sink in properly while I'm sleeping :D

UU's from my bath last night:
S&G Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath: WIBA? Yeah - loved it - loads of bubbles :D I've been using it as a showergel and it smells gorgeous and is lovely and creamy.
Boots Expert Sensitive Intensive Conditioner: WIBA? For 63p definately - I have another one in my stash :D However!! I was looking at the ordinary Conditioner in the same range and I think it's more or less exactly the same - the intensive is very very slightly thicker in consistancy - so I have emptied one of my bottles of Conditioner into the tub to use as a treatment (it's easier to apply from the tub) and will see how it goes :p
Derma V10 Night Cream: WIBA? Not as a night cream but worked lovely as a foot cream :D

Had to top up my foot treatment last night with the Burts Bee's Honey & Jojoba Foot Creme - smells yummmmmmmy :p but it had gone a bit lumpy in the tube - so I spent a lovely hour decanting it into an empty Body Butter tub and mashing all the lumps out :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

I've got a spluttering full size Hand Food and a BS Vanilla Lip Butter - should make it through the weekend though - and then if I do go for the Clintons offer I will get a Wild Cherry Lip Butter to replace it :D

Very subtle post!! I am guessing that this refers to the 4 bargain bundles. Is it weird that I'm not tempted - what an odd mix of stuff in the bundles. I feel myself moving towards graduation level........
