Hi Bonnington - Try greenmetropolis for books, they are all £3.50.
Have you not got any good charity shops near you (or can you get to a very nice area with charity shops?) ... I have got boots for my nephew that were brand new (some blokes must wear shoes once and either not like them or expire) and only a couple of £. If you go to a really nice area, they get really nice donations ...
If you want to borrow any motivational books just let me know, Ihave quite a collection. Also, look at network marketing to generate passive willable / saleable income. You may be suspicious, but such companies believe that old age/status/lack of education are not barriers and they have great cost effective training (again PM if you want to know more)

Electrician's currently putting in the wire for the cooker.
Oh I see. Cash in hand payment to the electrician might save a bit of dosh? Only politicians do that?0 -
Hi Bonnington,
You work for the insurance industry don't you ( I think I read on your diary) not sure what area but is there a blog or information/knowledge website you could set up and get some advertisers interested to generate an income?
Alternatively, any special/unique skills, can you make anything? Also, did you see Dragon's Den the other day? There was a company trying to pitch and sell a % of their storage company with a difference. People that have space e.g. attic, cellar, shed, and garage rent this space to other people who want cheap and short-term storage facilities. I store stuff at a well-known company and am always looking for cheap but safe alternatives. Do you have any space you could rent out.
What is the area of Scotland like, where you live, what about setting yourself up as a tour/wildlife/walking/historical guide? People would pay a fee or group fee to be shown around, taken on interesting walks etc. As long as you made it interesting/fun, did your research etc people would feel they had their monies worth, plus you might get tips. Maybe you could set it up as a view to being a service you offer when you get your B&B.
Well done on the survey amounts that's a good sum.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -

Hi Bonnington,
I have been trying to pm you for the last 30 minutes and I keeping getting the message I have too many characters, but I don't, not sure what is wrong. I have to get ready for work now and as it's easier for me to read posts at work then reply and pm. I will try again tomorrow.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -

Hi Bonnington
Catching up on your diary. My goodness you have had quite a few weeks. That electrician's bill was extortionate. How is your hand? Sorry to hear about your wee cat, we love our cats too.
I hope you don't mind my pennies worth. Are you sure you are in the best position now to purchase this business? Don't put yourself under too much pressure.
Take care0
