keep going Bonnington
Don't apply for any more credit for a while. Check it out on the Credit card threads. I know very little about it but others there will be able to help you.
Good fun keeping up with kids bonnington and the older they get the more expensive they get.
Keep going and the debt will reduce.
We are all behind you cheering and pushing you along.
Take care0 -
Hello Mr B
Just discovered this thread, have only read the first & the last few pages but it's interesting, inspirational even (for me when I eventually get back to the UK and will need to get a grip of finances better etc) and I wish you continued success in your quest & a belated happy birthday!
One quick thing occurred to me, when Santander make their !!!!-ups with your accounts how often do they compensate you? For that reason it might be a good bank to sign up with when I come home lol. The one bank account I left active when I left England do make the occasional error with my transactions and have made ad hoc payments to make up for things, doesn't happen often though.
Anyway, have a good Sunday.0 -
Don't worry about new boss until it happens my dear friend. Who knows it may prove to be someone fantastic and no amount of worrying is going to help really is it. I do agree that some bosses are the pits, mine is for sure but it hasn't happened yet, so deal with it when it does.
Pooh re headphones, how annoying.

Its good to look after yourself now and again Bonnington. You make sure everyone else gets everything they need. Now its your turn and don't feel guilty about doing that. You are worth it.
I think all of us don't like to be shifted about as we get older and wiser. I'm on my way to the big 50 and am definitely noticing I like a routine more as each day passes. Boy I am getting old
It will happen and you will cope with it and thats just life. Do you listen to the radio or do you have an ipod, mp3 Bonnington?0 -

Good luck for tomorrow
I read the Millionaire thread as well, it keeps me motivated.

Hope it's a minor surgery and that you recover soon.
Unlucky. Last few times I've been in Clarks in the UK there have been lots of massive reductions, even in Bicester shopping outlet village.0 -

I spent Wednesday and Thursday reading through the millionaire challenge and most of this was positive stuff and motivating. :T
Unfortunately it was hijacked one day and went a bit awry.
The millionaire thread has really got me thinking and determined to clear this debt.
It’s not going down quick enough and hardly at all at the moment and even up again.
On the bus and when I am free I am listening to Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and I am finding it very motivational and it has got me thinking.
I am about half way through the book. When I have finished I might listen to some of his other books. He talks a lot of
sense. I know some people will disagree but each to his own.
I need to build up my asset column and then use this to make more money. I need to get several streams of passive income which will work for me all the time.
Hi Bonnington, I'd be interested to know more of what you think about Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I have been scouring Amazon for weeks on and off looking for a good money book. I was interested in RD,PD but then found out it is about making money via property which I don't want to do.
I can't decide between a money saving book, a money generating book or a money inspiration book. Each time I think I have found a good money book, I read the reviews on Amazon and it either puts me off or leaves me undecided as some people like the style of the book and others don't. I also take into consideration the year the book was published as I think this has a bearing with what was happening with the economy since the book came out.
I have heard the Richest man in babylon is a good book. A few years ago I did think the route for me was just to progress in my career, so I bought Nice girls don't get rich and Nice girls don't get the corner office. I found the latter most useful as it was full of office strategy and the pitfalls women fall into. e.g being the office mother ( which apparently stops people seeing you in that corner office). I also have some motivational cds from Anthony Robbins and Wayne Dyer but guess what never get round to listening to them all. I got as far as the pain and pleasure cd from Anthony Robbins, the principle was that we do the pleasurable things first and put off the painful things, but it is putting off the painful things that stop us moving forward and getting what we want. I did have a good reaction to that becuase I wizzed around doing a 100 things a day. Which I found very tiring and odd because it wasn't me and had to stop listening to the cds I literally couldn't sit still. I got to the point where I thought why even sleep. I have since found out that the mind doesn't cope well with change and in order to successfully change you have to do it bit by bit and slowly.
I too have read a bit of the millionaire thread and will revist it. I have already decided that next year instead of doing ridiculous amounts of overtime for a pittance. I would stick to my normal hours and write. Writing fiction is something that I am relatively good at and something that with perserverance and a bit of luck could make my fortune. That's got to be the key hasn't it what can you do that other's can't (or at least not many, and not as well as you, or with your unique ability) what skill, talent, knowledge do you have that people are willing to pay for either small amounts from a lot of people, or large amounts from a few.
Sorry to go on but your post struck a cord with me. I am constantly looking for money making ideas that suit me and then I keep arriving back at 'writing' So I am seriously going to make a go of it next year and make some money from it.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -

If you order one at a time it puts them through at zero cost and you just pay £3.95 P&P.
Not certain whether I will be refunded when they realise.
Just had a look and they are all showing as out of stock, so either they've all sold out or more likely they have realised the glitchHope they honour your purchase x
