 Morning Bonnington
I'm really sorry to hear about your wifeI hope she is ok and not in too much pain!
I'm glad you got your money back from the bank though and if you get an unsatifactory reply from BT i'd take it further, BT are most definitely in my bad books still and they seem to get away with so many things a smaller business wouldn't!
Would it be cheaper to get some sort of gas fire or electric radiators in the house over winter than the expensive spends on logskind of makes me glad I don't have a real fire (even though they are so prettttty, cosy & warm
) as i remember mum moaning about the cost and that was 20 odd years ago
Well done on keeping up with the hall challengeit will be one less thing to do once completed, and it sounds like you're very nearly finished on it :j

Hi bonnington, I just wanted to drop in and say Hi. I see you often crop up all over the place on this forum, so I thought I would take a sneeky peak at your diary !! Nice to see you. Had a response back from my complaint with BT and they used the word sorry, makes a change for them.
Back to work today and it has been busy.
DW has been to GP and had a chest X-ray and have to wait until next week for the result. The local GP is uncertain what is wrong with her.
Had issues trying to log in and use MSe this evening. It kept crashing.
So sorry to hear about your wife. I really hope you get some answers next week when you get the results. I wish her better.
Good to hear the hall is nearly done. I started mine last March and its still unfinished. The deal was ,I would do ceilings and walls and Mr Pinot the paintwork as I have no patience for that. Its all done apart from the paintwork still as he has had no time, but it still looks much better than before. I have shifted around some pictures, mirrors and bits that were in other rooms in the house so it all looks new and shiny but isnt really ! Perhaps I will get started on the paintwork myself, god knows how it will look though, trouble is I'm itching to paint the kitchen next so maybe I just wont bother !
Have a good day !:)LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hello Bonnington,
Have seen you posting on Been's diary and have been meaning to read your diary for ages. Finally read it from beginning to end this afternoon over several cups of tea.:D We have a very similar amount of debt, so I will be reading from now on.
Hope the ebay sales and website sales are picking up.
How is your wife. When will you get the results?
Grr to BT:mad:
I did our hallway and landing in the summer, not even plastering, just painting. It was a huge job and not to be underestimated. You sound a very hard worker, you do a lot, don't forget to take time for yourself every now and then.:)
Thanks to you I have just discovered Sainsbury's meal planning, so thank you:T
Good luck for 2012

Bonnington,
I really hope the news from the x-ray is good! Have they done blood tests etc for DW? it must be really worrying for you both
!
Can I ask what sort of things you sell? Where do you advertise? Do you use facebook at all or twitter? They can be good for advertising things for free? I started a selling page last year (only for sock monkeys lol) and had nearly a thousand 'followers/viewers' within 2 months all by people recommending their friends to my page....just a thought?
Can your DW not look for a job elsewhere or is it the actual job itself she doesn't enjoy. I feel for her, i kept a job for years because i was too scared to leave the security of it!
Keep your head up, you're doing so well tackling everything! I would have (did!) given into a dmp by now so i applaud you for carrying on without resorting to oneMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. i use a body shop cream under my eyes, for sensitive skin. the one that i found that was fab for wrinkles was a very expensive estee lauder one. I've promised myself i will buy one when i'm debt free :rotfl:! Lots of sleep, water (dehydration causes lots of wrinkles that can actually be gotten rid of when skin is plump and hydrated :T), cucumber slices help refresh them....also when you put your cream on use your ring finger as it is the lightest, and only put the cream (around a pea size will do both eyes) along the eye socket bone. do NOT put it on the actual skin directly under the eye, it doesn't help with wrinkles and can make it puffy :j hope that helps (can you tell i worked on a beauty counter back in the day :rotfl:)
If you don't mind me trying to help, please send me a pm with a link to your website & fb page........I have literally TONNES of friends that are gettting married, know someone who is getting married and all in their early 30s so not too poor (i don't think) and i may be able to recommend lots of people in your direction...even if you sold the dresses for £5 each that's more than you'd get for taking the trouble to drive them to the charity shop!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. They own a hotel which has a good turnover and also a ginormous property worth about £900,000.
At present we do not know what he died of and I think was in hospital at the time. I only met him twice but he seemed very nice. Both the mum and dad are Australian.
Anyway back to work today and someone told me we are changing desks and sent me a seating plan. I half expect to go back on Wednesday to find out I have moved. I know it is inevitable but my manager has not mentioned the subject. Also I will not be a near window to see the view.
Got in the car today to go to work and the headlight had gone. Had to take the Freelander. Booked the car in for the bulb tomorrow. It is too difficult to do myself and still under the cover which means I have to take it to them. Last time one of the bulbs went the bill was about £48.
I spent £17 on a bulb & fitting at halfords, could you not take it there instead? Or is the bulb really over priced !
What horrible news about your daughter's friend, so young toowonder if it was all the stress of running a hotel  Have you tried putting the freelander back up for sale yet? I bet it guzzles gas as quick as my one (sooooooo annoying! )

[QUOTE=bonnington;50007421
We bought a lot of wedding dresses in 2007 with a load. The loan is finished but we still have the dresses. I'm at the point of taking them to a charity shop, although the wife is not so sure. It was her suggestion a few weeks back.
Also we purchased ladies shoes and have about three pairs left. Also there are quite a few ladies dresses to sell as well as cheap jewellery we purchased. Also we have general bits of ours to sell.
A few wedding dresses are also on our website. Everything else is on ebay only.
Also everything over £1 only gets listed or re-listed when it is a free listing week-end.
QUOTE]
Have you advertised the dresses in your local paper, I brought mine from a lady who did something simular and advertised as closing bridal shop, hers was also online. I paid £150 for my dress and was very pleased. Have you tried listing the dresses as buy now on ebay.
PM me the page details for your facebook page and I will like it and share it.Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100
