I got my account upgraded today and the guy told me it could take up to 5 working days to update on my online banking0

Oooh, just noticed this after going over things following the weekly email.
Tough decisions...
I currently have a Natwest e-ISA at 3.01%, with online access and monthly interest, and most importantly, no bonus rates. I could transfer to the Halifax and get the 3.2%, but that's only for a year, and it's annual interest, which is a pain to track...and after maxing out 2011/2012's allowance I'm only a bit short of hitting the next tier on the Natwest, which will put me on 3.26%, so should hit that by next February on interest.
If I stick with the Natwest it puts me out ~£45 over the year, which isn't too much I guess, or I'm thinking I could just open the Halifax, and transfer in all but £1, keeping the ISA open just in case.
Hmm...I do hate bonus rates and annual interest.

i re designated mine on 28th february but its still showing on line as isa direct reward 3. I called them and they told me it is all going through and will be back dated, it seems they still have a backlog0

Transferred on Monday and I called to harass them yesterday to find out why my online banking indicated that it was still a Direct Reward 3.
I got the same assurance that the higher rate of interest would be backdated to Monday after they cleared the backlog!0 -
Two weeks later and I'm still waiting for redesignation. Also still waiting on the "promise" interest. They must be pretty busy and I'm surprised how "manual" these processes still are.
However I still have every confidence that Halifax will do this and backdate the interest correctly.0 -
Relief
as of this morning, mine is now showing as ISA Direct Reward 4 with 3% interest. For several days its been showing as 0.2%.
Hi
Mine is also reading with 3% interest, but as I have a Halifax reward current account, when might I expect it to read 3.2%.?Do I have to do something else?0 -
Two weeks later for me too. I redesignated on 28th Feb. No paperwork received yet and it's still showing online as Isa Direct Reward 3.
Annoying!
I don't know whether to hassle them or not. I expect it's just stuck in a backlog, but Halifax have had rather a bad track record with my past Isa redesignations. Twice I have had to resort to their complaints department to get things sorted out.
I've also still got the old layout when I go to my accounts online, so I can't see the interest rates. My daughter's layout changed to the new one weeks ago.0 -

Same here, I've just phoned them.
Same story they are just really busy. I asked why other peoples accounts were changed over when they applied later, surely there is a queue.
I also have the old online layout.0 -
Hmm. I'm also on the old online layout.
Just logged in and I can see the balance on my ISA has disappeared from the main menu - just an empty box. The account is fine when I click onto it, just not on the main screen.0 -
This seems to be a variable rate ISA. Does this mean if I open one and transfer in at 3% can they change the interest rate say, in 6 months time so I'll lose out?
Or will it stay at 3% for the duration of the ISA?Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0
