I wish you well on your journey to being debt free. Glad to see that you have been getting loads of lovely messages. I love the support that MSE gives.
Another turning 30 here, my birthday is next week. Have tried to make my peace with it and move on.
Nah, just joking I'll be fine.
I agree with you about weighing yourself just once a week. You'll get there.
soooo jealous about your cats. We ALWAYS had cats when I was young. One day . . .
Food sounds yummy.
Have subscribed, look forward to reading your progress.

Hi !
Thanks for your message
OOh happy birthday for next weekI think we should embrace turning 30! They are a few of us it seems. Hopefully a positive turning point for debt and beyond.......
I love my cats :-) though they certainly dont love each other!!
and cost a fortune!!
have you got a diary? i'll have a look xx0 -
so day 2 at work was fine:) though did feel a bit guilty leaving at lunch when everyone else was busy. but i know i need to ease myself back in so i dont have a relapse.
spends so far today
£2 - brew fund at work
£2.26 reduced items at Tesco (minced beef 70p, 2x chicken in breadcrumbs 60p each, courgettes 36p)
£2.10 cat crunchies
£20.61 - post office when posted ebay items i had packed up last night
thinking about whether to get a loan to pay off existing debts so i have everything together - may look into it.0 -
Just took one of the cats to the vets, luckily just for a weigh in and worming so only £2.60 (half worming tablet).
spends so far this week:
Petrol £39.06 (seeing how long this lasts!)
Grocery £36.71 (hmm...all the little trips to add up)
Weekly spend £51.92 :mad:OMG what has happened??? includes £20.61 postoffice for ebay parcels so maybe i shouldnt include that. given myself £50/wk so not doing well.
Going to keep recording everything in my spending diary - this will be the first month so the truth will be out!
Need a few NSDs i think

Nah, you shouldn't count the Ebay posting. Thats paid for.
Spending diaries are great. Really helped me to see the truth *Official DFW Nerd #1368 - Proud to be dealing with my debts*

Just paid my credit card bills - only the minimum as really trying to clear my overdraft - just taking forever and just want it gone!
I paid my halifax one online but couldnt get onto m&s banking so old fashioned cheque - though no stamps so that means it wont be a NSD.
Then had a random bill from barclaycard - 0.04p balance ? I am sure i closed this card. So just sent a cheque for the 4p too - did try telephone banking but needed a password which i dont have.
I've sorted out all my toiletries after joining the toiletry challenge for March. Can't believe how much I have!
Really need to scour the house for stuff to sell on ebay but no motivation.
I feel really down today, just can't be bothered really and don't want to go out anywhere, I have ended up cancelling on a friend i was supposed to see this afternoon which I feel bad about. She has 4 children and not seen them for ages but really couldnt face all the noise etc. I sound so selfish but just feel crappy.:(0 -

Hi Miaowmiaow,
I am having a down day too, although I have paid off quite a bit as recently got paid, I feel like it will be forever until I am debt free. I think once I get rid of one card or the OD then things will look better, I will only have 2 things to pay off and not 3. That might be something to considor whilst you are thinking of getting a loan, at the moment you can set smally goals of getting your OD paid off, then a card etc.
Can't wait to get this all paid I will NEVER get like this again.[STRIKE]Family £400[/STRIKE] CC1 [STRIKE]£415[/STRIKE] Lloyds [STRIKE]£460[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Natwest£750[/STRIKE] £627.59 Tesco [STRIKE]£1880[/STRIKE] £1725 Grand total £2,352.59

Well done for you to be posting a diary
With the depression you will have days where you just don't want to do anything and find it hard to get motivated.
These days will pass, and so what if you want to come home crawl under the duvet and stay there.? ... just don't be too hard on yourself if these happen. Its all part of the depression and the healing.
Well done on the batch cooking and keeping the spending diary. Keep up the good work.
I will too be subscribing and will follow your progress.
