  • grrrr no delivery from Orange  rung them and there are no notes on account re whether delivery was attempted. It's UKmail not DPD and I haven't seen one of those vans come by but I haven't been paying too much attention. They have re-scheduled delivery for tomorrow same time. It had better come then! It needs to be signed for by me and I have to hand over my faulty battery at same time. I can't do it in week as I am out and about with work, or in a building which has no postcode so they won't deliver!

also I'm failing to do my uni work  the more I read about it the more I get confused :( there is too much to write for just 1500 words!!

FB Ok, breathe.........................and again, nice and slow. That's it, now get your nose in those books again.

Bitsy if you find anyone to do your ebay bits, will you send them round here too please? I CBA either.

Anyhoo, need to get on and do lots. I have been doing a shop on swinco and approved foods. I was dead nervous!!! Never shopped like that online before... felt dead decadent or risky, even though in total, it all came to about £30 and I got loads of stuff. Do you guys who use these sites order loads and loads of stuff at one time? I think I will feel better once it all comes. Eg, on the screen, 6 bottles of lt mayo doesn't seem like much, or 24 packs of strawberry croissants (6 in a pack), but I'm sure once I try to find space for all the stuff, I will be hooked. Was a bit disappointed tho, when I was on the site the other day, there was a lucky box you could order for £1. Thye just fill it up with whatever. I couldn't find it.

:) Well, took the rotables up to the compost dalek on the lottie but it was raining pretty heavily by the time I got there and is set in for the day. Shopped Lidl and a nearby c.s. whereupon I heard a familir voice.....yup, a colleague. Then we separately ended up in a whole range of other c.ss of Scruffy Street and bumped into a 3rd workmate and ended up having a girlie shop of it.

:D Just got paid, hit the c.s........born O.S:rotfl:

    Hi everyone,
Have just spent 6 hours doing a cleanup/defrag major sortout on lappy so hopefully no more problems.
    Happy Birthday Halight & Smokey.
Tru, good for you, my two still at home drive me up the wall. Have just told DS to sort out his washing as this will be the last time I will be doing it. He will be 16 on Monday so needs to take some responsibility for himself. Foodwise it is DD who is a pain, rarely eats with us or even the same food, is quite happy to cook for herself but never cleans up! DP got so fed up with her once that he put all her dirty dishes in a washing up bowl & put it in her bed under the duvet:rotfl::rotfl:worked for a while but may be time for a rerun.;)
Rosy, we too are on a magical mystery tour of the food stores.Need to find something for tonight & Tuesday. Tomorrow is sorted & got stuff for DS's birthday dinner, have defrosted some mince so will be stretching that methinks.
Right I'm off for a mooch round the boards now that I can read more than just one page of anything:cool:
    Hugs, spoons & Hi5's as required x

  • Afternoon all

Happy birthday to Halight and Smokey.

Felt poorly today and completetely wiped out-had to go back to bed. Have caught OH's cough the last day or so but after cooking breakfast couldn't hold my head up.

OH brought the wet washing that I left out last night and spun it so that has gone on the clothes horses. Thanks mate.

Got up this afternoon and worked out how much we'd spent on food in February.

We are still living out of the freezer so a pork casserole in the slow cooker but OH has been to the supermarket as he's been paid and bought green veg to go with it and bread which we needed.

    Have a good evening all.

    Afternoon all,

Happy birthday Halight and Smokybabe.....miss you smoky, hope that you and yours are doing well.

Somebody....have forgotten who....has a birthday to-morrow, in case Im not here then, have a good one.

Nice day here to-day, cold but sunny, will take clothes in off line in a bit.

Visitors all gone, DD2 and co back safely in London, others should be in Cork soon. Was nice to see all my 'children' last night but don't welcome the 3 sets of bedlinen to be washed now....not to-day, will do them all to-morrow and get them out on line on Monday morning.

Dinner to-night will be a melange of lo chinese from last night, think that there are about 6 cartons in the fridge with varying amounts of food so won't go short!

DGD2 has gone home with several balls of wool, happy as Larry. She finally got the hang of knitting while here for last week, she is very enthusiastic so we may all end up with new scarves shortly.

Lots of seedlings up in greenhouse....we have unheated 8 X 12 greenhouse and 2 small plastic ones inside that, it gives everything a great start so might actually achieve some good crops this year....never seem to have enough tomatoes to freeze or bottle so am hoping to improve on that this year, also want to grow some butternut squash as they last for ages. We put in some onion setts last autumn and OH has put the soot we had from when the chimnies were swept onto them....apparently good so we shall wait and see.

Knitting skirt for DGD1 and cowl thing for DGD3....both requested but they will have to be sent as couldn't finish in time to go with them this morning....I get myself into some scrapes with the 3 girls as they think that I can finish stuff in 5 minutes flat and the fingers don't work that quickly any more!

Kerry is pleased to have 'her' house back to normal, she loves the children but likes her comfort too, and that only happens when she is here on her own with us.....not sure how she will react when she realises that Mossy is not just coming for a sleepover or 2!

Enjoy the rest of your day all, hugs to anyone in need or want of one.

Is it safe to post in here atm I've only just returned to the boards after getting fed up with all the bickering and it seems sadly nothing has changed..used to be such a friendly place :(

Everything has been such a struggle for us recently and realising my OS ways are slipping I really need to get back on the wagon so to speak and always found popping on here inspiring thought it would help..

Washing is finally up to date and have a banana and craisin loaf baking..maybe I need to handmake some bread to bash out a bit of stress:o
