:) Afternoon all! I've strolled across to see what's happening, hope everyone is having a good day.

Weather here is rubbish; rained all night and most of the morning, lightened up just before lunch when I had a quick whizz around the shops and now is rainy and nearly dark. My lottie needs me.:(

:) Have had a wee bit of a bargain at Mr T; got one of their bags of Indian takeout for 2 reduced for quick sale and have divvied the curries and the rice into 4 separate containers for the freezer, plus the naan breads and the bhagis to eat seperately. Naughty but nice,as takeaways are a no-no on the my budget.

:) Lunch was more OS; hardboiled eggs chopped with the last nubbin from the heart of a whoopsied lettuce in a teaspoon of mayo with chopped sprouted onion tops (think I stole that years ago from Shirley Conran's Superwoman book).;) Laundry's done and on the rack and the vac is laying on the floor; I'm watching it closely to see if it'll do anything......

 I have a pair of sneakers with smooth rubber soles which are getting thin. Just took them to 2 repair places and was told they can't glue soles onto these trainer-style footwear. Has anyone out there done a home repair on something similiar? Advice would be greatly appreciated. I already have superglue, glue gun and a general purpose adhesive on the premises.

    Thanks, GQ x

:D Yaeh, I got one of those recently and they're fab, aren't they? Last year, in early January, I cleaned up in Iceland on similar type things packaged for the party season and heavily reduced, and headed up there hoping for more of the same this Jan. No dice. :( Guess they got their stock control a bit more in order, d*amn their hides for efficiency. Still, 75 thingies for £4 is sweet enough and I also use them as appetisers for company when I have h.m curries. Got my favourite curry recipe of all time from India Knight's The Thrift Book, which is very amenable to all sorts of variations, according to what's cheap that week.

:) Right, enough lazing in front of the computer. I shall risk the weather and go to the lottie, which just so happens to take me near Lidl, which might just have that pork belly offer.......thanks for the tips, ladies.

    Afternoon All

Rained all night here, finally stopped just before 10am so was ok for boys footy training. Went shopping whilst they trained then came home and put some washing out. Just got wet through bringing it back in and would you believe it, it has now stopped. Need to do some ironing and clean the bathroom. Burgers in a teacake with some salad and fries for tea, just had soup and bread for lunch.

Well the sun is shining so will try with the washing once again.

Happy Birthday - Halight and smokey

Hugs to those who need or want one. Enjoy the weekend.

    Afternoon all.

Haven't posted in a few days as was working nights but off for a few nights now.

Been shoppng this morning so cupboards are nice and full again.

Have a pile of washing to get through. Although it's nice and sunny here it keeps starting to rain then stopping again so I don't want to risk hangning the washing out.

Need to check over the banking and pay a few bills as well.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning :hello:

Happy Birthday to Halight and Smoky :bdaycake:

I've given up on the other trus, I'm concentrating on me from now on. The (adult) kids already do their own washing and ironing. I will wash mine and mr tru's (but that's only for money-saving reasons - if I don't do mr tru's he'll end up putting the machine on with just 2 things in it). I will only only iron my stuff. I will only clear up after myself. I'm even going to cook just for me. If they want to eat crap, they can buy it themselves, I'm not buying it anymore. I hardly ever put myself first, by default really, kids growing up etc. I had my first at 19, so have never been an adult all by myself IYSWIM.

I've been feeling a bit rubbish lately, there's one thing mr tru does that makes me feel worse - usually it's no big deal and I don't even notice - but I've asked him to stop for a bit, just til I sort myself out. He said he didn't realise, of course I'll stop blah blah blah. Well turns out he lied and when I challenged him yesterday, he lied again then bought me lots of choc - probably out of guilt. He didn't do a very good job though, he didn't buy my favourites.

So, I'm going to see if I can do OS while everyone else isn't :D

There's a very good chance of a job for me when he starts his new job - the bosses have chatted to him about it already and want me to go in and see them (I already know them personally so it'll be easy). It would be perfect, I'd love it, there's no travel costs, no having to buy new clothes and probably a chance to work at home some of the time. But I don't think it's a good idea for me to be working with him ATM. I want something that's just mine, if that makes sense.

From now on, it's all about me. Me me me me me :D

Good for you girl :D Crossing everything that the job pans out too xx

About to start a marathon Ebay listing session. Anyone fancy doing it for me because I just CBA :o:o:o
