    BB - have sent pm!

EG - thank you, I know! I love Borough Market, but last time we were near I was feeling really ropey and blood pressure was so low I was almost falling over, so never got there :( But we did go to a fab Italian opp it, just to the left of the underground exit, entrance was up a lil passage way, food was delicious and good value, and the coffee was excellent!

Happy birthday Halight and Smokey xx

    Morning :hello:

Happy Birthday to Halight and Smoky :bdaycake:

I've given up on the other trus, I'm concentrating on me from now on. The (adult) kids already do their own washing and ironing. I will wash mine and mr tru's (but that's only for money-saving reasons - if I don't do mr tru's he'll end up putting the machine on with just 2 things in it). I will only only iron my stuff. I will only clear up after myself. I'm even going to cook just for me. If they want to eat crap, they can buy it themselves, I'm not buying it anymore. I hardly ever put myself first, by default really, kids growing up etc. I had my first at 19, so have never been an adult all by myself IYSWIM.

I've been feeling a bit rubbish lately, there's one thing mr tru does that makes me feel worse - usually it's no big deal and I don't even notice - but I've asked him to stop for a bit, just til I sort myself out. He said he didn't realise, of course I'll stop blah blah blah. Well turns out he lied and when I challenged him yesterday, he lied again then bought me lots of choc - probably out of guilt. He didn't do a very good job though, he didn't buy my favourites.

So, I'm going to see if I can do OS while everyone else isn't :D

There's a very good chance of a job for me when he starts his new job - the bosses have chatted to him about it already and want me to go in and see them (I already know them personally so it'll be easy). It would be perfect, I'd love it, there's no travel costs, no having to buy new clothes and probably a chance to work at home some of the time. But I don't think it's a good idea for me to be working with him ATM. I want something that's just mine, if that makes sense.

From now on, it's all about me. Me me me me me :D

  • Happy Birthday to Halight & Smokey

Hubby & his nephew are working in the garden in the rain, I've just made a batch of chocolate brownies for them as a treat for when they finish.
I've been watching the article on the news about the fraud scams, it's something I worry about since FIL got internet access, MIL has her head screwed on & I doubt if she wouls fall for anything, but I can see FIL falling hook line & sinker, so I'm hoping they have seen the article too.
    Have a good day everyone.

hope you both have a great day!

didn't get on here yesteday, nothing OS to report so hope everyone is ok.

Got the next week off:j its tinged with sadness becuse Mum's moving down to Devon:( but I'm happy for her to be doing what she's always wanted which is to live by the seaside. The whole town is going to miss her as she plays a huge part in life here. The local paper did an artice on her leaving, in fact there's not many weeks she's not got her face in there with one of her charitable activities:)

DH and I are off to collect the pine table this afternoon from Malvern and do a spot of shopping there.

Have started a shopping list as its like old mother Hubbards here atm:D
Going to make a curry tonight - veggie of course, using up a jar of Pataks sauce I got on offer and adding extras to it - its a Pasanda which I havent tried before. I like the milder ones.
    HM veggie soup for lunch.
House clean and tidy -just got a washing mountain to get through.

Hope everyone has a great weekend x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all

Happy birthday Halight - have a fab day

It's a tad sunny here, but it's sunny spells and very windy! Bit gutted as I was hoping for rain as I have to stay indoors and do uni work :( but now I have to watch others frolic outdoors throught the window whilst I work. I even cancelled shopping and lunch with the girls cos I want to get this work done. It's only a 1500word essay but I have to have 3 lesson plans to go with it and fit it all into a theory - yawn! It's due Weds.

I have to stay in anyways and wait for my new battery to come from Orange. Delivery is between 9 and 1. However half hour ago I saw a DPD van come into the estate (I know they deliver Orange stuff), it drove round looking for something but then just drove off, if this was my 'delivery' I will be mightily pee'd off  and Orange will have a piece of my mind later. My estate is a tad tricky to find places as all the names are on the wall, and it's all very similar sounds welsh names! But it is clearly signposted at the entrance to it where my block is, and the van came nowhere near.

OS wise - WM has been on and clothes are on airer on balcony having a blowing :D they won't dry fully but it will make them smell nice. DW on too. Kitchen surfaces wiped down. May hoover later.

    Have a good Saturday all

Grrr why do you always forget something when you put the DW on?! :rotfl:I left out my work travel mug. Yes I can wash by hand but it's the principle!
