Morning all, having an absolutely pants day. Didn't get to sleep until five for coughing and threw up because of it (has gone from tiny mouthful to proper.. yucky vomitting in the last few days) which has obviously angered my tonsils as they've gone mental! I slept through two alarms so missed my first lecture and my second as they don't allow you in late. I'm just gonna get dressed and go get a train home early. I'm fed up!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

Good Morning,
Lowesy - Im sure you will be fine. The women who seem to do best are those who are open minded and not too fixated on their ideal labour.
I was in hospital yesterday as I badly need a blood transfusion. My GP sent me in but 7 hours later and I was still sat there waiting. However I am absolutely appalled by the treatment I received at my local hospital yesterday. I was offered no food or drink for 7 hours yesterday whilst I was an in-patient and I was not nil by mouth :eek::eek: I discharged myself home in the end and told them I would come back as a day case:mad::mad::mad: It is abysmal and I told them so. Goodness I can speak up for myself and have worked for the NHS for years as a midwife. What would the case for some vulnerable old lady who was too frightened to do anything? Never in a million years would I not have fed or watered one of my patients:eek::eek::eek:
Sorry rant over. My OS is catching up with me. Loads of washing to do. However DD put some washing out to line dry yesterday and it smells absolutely wonderful. Wish they could bottle it although they do do a candle but it smells nothing like.
I made a cherry clafoutis this morning as I had cherries to use up but it was very disappointing. I was ravenous after not eating anything yesterday so had my dinner at 10.30 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: leftover veggie lasagne which was yum. My tummy is now rumbling again. I may make a pineapple cake in a minute as I have a craving for comfort food today.
Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Sounds like you need a warm bed and some antibiotics. Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Molly41 - that's disgraceful. I'd write and complain if I were you because you're right otherwise it could happen to lots of people who are too frightened to speak up for themselves. :mad:Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning all,
Waiting for DD2 and granddaughters to get ready to go out for a treat....war in progress as they all have long hair and they hate having it brushed....DD is threatening haircuts all round! Can't believe they are off home to-morrow, they seem to have just arrived.

JackieO....glad you had such a wonderful day yesterday.
Think we will have takeaway to-night for dinner....there will be 9 of us and I have been delegated to knit for the girls so will be at that until I go out tonight.
Clothes out on line although it looks as if it might rain.
Back later, have a good day all

Argh. Oh has not been paid today and I have things outstanding on the bank account that need paid. The online banking has been down all morning and this is the first chance I have had to check. I hope this isn't it all starting again, I can't bear the thought of chasing money all year.

Afternoon everyone- hugs and thoughts to those who need them.
It's been a busy couple of days. Yesterday I managed to surprise my friend (mother to my fairy godson and daughter) by taking her fro a birthday lunch at Prezzo, and used some of their £10 menu vouchers to have a lovelytime. I tried to pay the full bill, but she wouldn't let me - in the end she only paid for FGD),. After going to a friend's for coffee, I hit the CS and picked up an almost new J Conran jacket for FGS, two t shirts and a cardigan from the £1 pound rail and a large pale blue merino jumper which has unravelled nicely (Perfect for modular knitting and acid dyeing).Grand total spend £9.90
I also received some paperwork from HMRC which has (ONLY!) been 5 months in the chasing, which was followed by a cheque from them today, which will pay for a new computer (this one keeps having hissy fits and refuses to talk to the modem). I was dancing round the kitchen in the Primarni PJs when I got that one. Now I need ot get dressed and get it into the bank
Today I managed to speak to the queen of the recycled teenagers herself to wish her a happy birthday. She and Dad are off to lunch somewhere , and I hope that my sister and family spoil her rotten at the weekend. We did our bit when we did the great North trek last week.
Anyway, I'd better get a move on- got some window shopping to do...
Hope everyone has a good oneSurviving the ups and downs of life with DH
