    Well, I only needed to spend €2 during the week (well €1.89), on milk and nothing else. I also got a free bag of St*rbucks coffee beans on Thursday, by getting my morning cup there with my prepaid card (need to use that for a week or 2 rather than cash), and using a voucher they sent. So that will aslt us a good few months at home - €5.50 worth free!

    I don't need to spend much this weekend. Bread, milk, veg, fruit, bin bags, and cornflour. I have enough meat to use this week, so don't need anything unless I get some whoopsies.

    Morning everyone. Just to say I am keeping up with the challenge even though I've already blown it. Shall definitely be rejoining in April! Doing a chicken curry tonight but bulking it out with as many veggies as I can to make it healthier. Yum yum! Well done to everyone doing well at their challenges, and don't be disheartened those who haven't done as well as they'd like. It's been a loooong month this month.

    Another weekly shop done last night in T$scos and £52.28 spent. This takes me way over, but still under £300 which was the mini challenge I set myself after I realised it was a 5 week month :o.

    Got quite a few good deals including 2 * 4 pack br*nston baked beans at 2 4 £2 and bogof p$lgrim choice cheese. Also got a couple of reduced items, some pork for stir fry for 88p, and a whole chicken for £1.15.

    Going to L$dls when DH comes back with the car to try to pick up some of the 99p mince (if it hasn't all sold out). Also still need some fruit as it was slim pickings last night at T$scos.

    Still aiming to stay under £300, but even if I don't, I'm doing so much better than when I started in January, thanks to you guys.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Have just totted up the receipts for the first time and am horribly over budget! I'd set a guestimate budget of £300 but am at a total of £415.20!!! :(. In saying that however I think a lot of the overspend was taking advantage of deals. The freezer is full of Lidl pork, chicken and mince, there is enough rabbit food for a few months and bedding for a few months, there are 2 months of dishwasher tabs etc. I think with careful meal planning (which to be honest I only started about 2 weeks ago) I can bring it down a lot. In fact for the next month it's mainly fresh veg, fruit bread and milk that need buying. The family are now all on board (even MiL) though the amount of some things we get through is scary!

    Budget for April £250 and I'm sticking to it!! :)
