  • Hi all,

I'm new to the grocery challenge so I'm hoping I get this right! Can I please be put down for £120 for April? It is going to be a 5 week month for us but I do have just over £100 in DTD vouchers to use at the beginning of April in Mr. T so I'm hoping £120 'real' money will cover the rest.

We are moving house the first week in April too so will be upside down for a bit (and probably making cooking stuff a bit more difficult for a few days) - but I'll give it a shot. Any £'s saved are going toward the cost of van hire etc etc.

Looking forward to doing this every month and reading back through some of the recipes.

    Thank you!

Declaring £334.50 as total spend for March budget after spending another £29.44 in various shops this week:(.

Hopefully the bigger budget will help me next month and the fact we are on hols for a week. DS1 staying at home so still have to stock up freezer for him before we go (prob expensive ready meals).

Have vouchers for Iceland and Mr S though to use:D

    Hi there
Just updated signature for the final time for March. Can I declare £203.37 for March please.

I think I am going to ask for £220.00 for April please. There are a few things that we've been going without and having looked at our overall budget I think we can up it by £20 to allow for these. This is still a lot less than I used to spend so it will still be an achievement for me.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.

also got most of the easter egss too just need to get for my DD's and DH
  • Well only a bit over-budget (my month finishes on the 28th) BUT and here lies the BIG BUT.... spent far more than in Feb.

At least I know why and it might aound silly but I did it on purpose ... Feb I spent using cash only...March I spent using my card. Massive lesson learnt :o

Sadly I am the kind of person who has to do something for themselves to really understand but now that it has sunk in here's to an Earnest April :D
