A spend of £5.95 today in Mr T, but could have been a lot worse as I went straight from work, hadn't had lunch and was starving, but I only got what I went in there for, and then went home and had a fresh fruit salad for my lunch!:DWeight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Thank you for the nice welcome!
I've roughly planned the first half of April so I can sort my shopping list ready. Just need to add what treats I'm going to attempt to bake, so I shall have a good look at the first page - thanks again for the advise. I hope to be money saving on my groceries in April!
Moneysaver - its nice to know that £200 is achievable, I was starting to think maybe I should increase my budget, but I know I can make cuts somewhere (mainly the popping to get milk and coming out with things I shouldn't!!). I like the mini picnic idea. Last week I did hubby crackers, cheese, tomatoes, spring onions and pickle to make himself a little lunch and he said it was lovely! Must remember to do it again!

Hippeechiq - I didn't bother checking the fuse, as the light was still coming on when I opened the door! Still, it was 11 years old, so I guess it did its time.
NSD today - going to need a few more of those to save up for the new ff! On the (kind of) plus side, I've got some extra work at the moment. My teacher is sick, pregnancy related, not good, 28wks and not really feeling the baby, so I'm covering for her. It'll be a massive increase in my normal pay - 2 weeks of supply teaching is nice money! I've put the ff on the credit card, and then when I get paid at the end of April, I can pay it straight off, leaving my credit card clear again! Do feel bad for her though, it's her first child, so she doesn't really know what's going on, and I remember how scary it is growing a baby. Am saying prayers for her.
We had cold cooked chicken today, warmed up with some (value) sweet and sour sauce and rice. Still got some more cooked sausages to use up, that's tomorrow's sandwiches, and then some more chicken tomorrow evening, which I'll do a pie with. BF here tom, so he'll eat a load of that, and if I tell him it needs using up, he'll vacuum it up!
New ff comes weds, so I'll sort out a budget and meal plan then, once I've transferred and organised all of the food from the outside freezer.
Sistercas - great news!

Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -
Hi everyone,
I have been lurking since Xmas but I really need to put all this advice into practice! I have been keeping all reciepts since jan 1st and have spent £360 a month for 2 of us. Around 40% of this is alcohol and takeaways which need to be cut down from a health perspective!!
My month begins on the 20th so I am aiming for £300 for April- has the new page started yet?
I have had a really good start to the month, I spent £36 at the market on 20 kilos of fruit and veg and meat! Luckily I took the carthen today I made 7 currys, 4 chilli, 3 bolognaise, chicken stock for soup tomorrow and a huge lasagna. And there are still 9 pieces of chicken and 4 pork steaks for meals later in the month and 2 fridges full of veg!!
I also spent £70 in Tesco but this lot should last 2 weeks.
Let's hope I can keep it up!!0
