Been to the greengrocers and Mr T's and spent £8 on F&V and eggs and £33 on the rest of the shop making a total of £41.
My budget is £45 a week and so there's £4 left for extra fruit later in the week if I run out (normally do by Weds).

So not too bad this week so far......

    Hi everyone,

I've still got the last shop of the month to do tomorrow, but I've done most of the list and am reasonably confident of coming in just under my £240 target for March. Might pop and get some milk later as otherwise I may end up going to Mr T without having had any breakfast which would be dangerous!

Anyhow, the main reason I am posting today is I have just come across an old spreadsheet from last May (I only lasted filling it in for one month that time around!), on which my grocery receipts were £385:eek: plus £49 on several trips to the pet shop for various treats for little pooch:eek: . On this basis, even if I go slightly over tomorrow, I can still be entirely pleased with myself for the progress made in under 12 months, especially as I now include all dog costs except the vets in my groceries target too :D.
Debt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage :o) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.

Phew - I made it, £248.82 for March please MRSMC. Please put me down again for £250 for April.

It was really difficult this Month and I think it's going to get harder as prices are rising all the time - will need to keep a closer look out for Offers like, 3 for 2, BOGOF etc etc and also Whoopsies.

Dinner tonight is Beef Trim from DR, got it in the Slow Cooker at the moment and it smells delicious.;)

    Have a good weekend everyone.:D

I have had such a good day!! Got up at 6am and cooked 2 soups, leek and potato and a hot and sour style Chinese soup. I also made Bombay potatoes and Twinks Hobnobs for the first time. The hobnobs went a little wrong, we have ended up with a tray of thin flap jacks!! Still very tasty though :)
Going out tonight so eating left over lasagna from yesterday. It tastes even better today!!

Need to have a few drinks before we go out, a glass of wine in the bar is the same price as a bottle and a half of wine from A5da :o

Feeling good that I am filling the freezer with healthy meals though - should mean we resist the urge for takeaways this week!
