Hi All
Have been watching the thread with interest on the MBNA front - I have them too but so far they have been ok - they agreed to hold interest and fees for 6 months and its all quiet at the mo.
Hypno - I'm counting down the 28 days too - I'm fully expecting late defence as that seems a tactic that Barclays employs on a regular basis. By the way well done on your signature amounts - Your Olympic challenge amount is fabulous - You Go Girl!"!!!
Starting to get a bit jittery where AMEX are concerned - the first payment was returned to CCCS and I've had absolutely no communication from them at all. I'm terrified that they're sending nasty letters somewhere else and that one day I'll open the door to a debt collector or a bailiff- I worry about that one!!!!
Have also had no communication from my Monument CC (part of Barclays)and again find the whole thing a bit strange - but they at least are taking payments from CCCS. No one seems to mention them on the DFW board. Would like to think they were nice people and happy to leave me alone for a while!!!!!
Take care everyone

OOOo I'm really hacked off now ...
My best friend has just sent me a text saying she has booked to go away with another friend of mine for a week's sunshine over Easter 5* all in luxury etc etc. I know I can't afford it and that I shouldn't begrudge them a good time, but b*gger me, I do!!! I know this is awful but I wasn't even asked and they only know each other because I invited them on my holiday last year!!!
As an after thought I've now got a text asking if I fancy it, when I sent back a reply asking about kids prices she just put- Oh I didn't think they'd be coming!!!! grrrrr. grrrrrr. grrrrr.
I'm angry now - self pity I know, but they must have discussed it together and I've seen both of them over the last 24 hours and neither one mentioned it. HOPE IT DAMN WELL RAINS!!!!!!

Ohh sympathy & hugs! Thats not good Jojo, the last thing you need! Do they know anything of your circumstances? Are they assuming you wouldnt want to go?
I find it easy to do without shopping for stuff, but really feeling the pain of not being able to go away, especially the 5 * luxury type break!

Hi Sharon
No they don't know about my circumstances properly although they do know I've been a lot more careful with money this year, and that childcare costs now take a whopping chunk out of my salary each month. I know I'm being silly but it was a real shock - I didn't even know that they spoke to one another.
Ahh well am over it now... But if I win the lottery (which would be somethng of a miracle as I don't play) but if I do I'm off to the sunshine without them!!!
Did you get the Gas Bill sorted?

Hi Tracey, good luck with the scan! Nice to hear from you & hope all is going well :-)
Jojo, I paid my gas bill & cancelled the weekend away, hope its good weather, we will have a day out instead (probably a very long walk!)
Good news, Freemans wrote to accept the offer of reduced payments, for three whole months :rotfl: Im going to clear it off asap in any case, it is my smallest debt & I would love to have 1 less creditor.

Hi everyone
Quick update from me. All creditors have gone completely silent, no calls, no letters, not a sossage! Yay!
Still ebaying regularly but my wardrobe is still crammed with stuff, most of which does not fit!
Now I have joined the DFW slimming club, aim to get back into at least the size 18 & 20 stuff in there, then see where I go from there. Save money on food & on new clothes!
Hope all is well with everyone, and the road to being debt free is not too rocky!

Hi there, still plugging away despite a few difficult and emotional weeks, so hopefully now that I am "getting my head together" again it is onwards and upwards (or as in the case of debt, onwards and downwards.)
I am awaiting a court date for the barclays claim, but the local court says that there is a backlog so don't know when it will be done. I have also got to get claims for some of OH smaller charges prepared for him to sign and send off. Every little will help, and the small claims that I have made for my accounts were paid without too much hassle, so hopefully they will pay up quite quickly without a fight given that the amounts are fairly low.
But, the sun continues to shine and everyone is healthy in the hypno house so really we can't ask much more than that!
Hope everyone is well xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
