I agree with you Sharon - since starting the DMP things have got so much better - even after a rocky start it's better than the worry of bills every month.
I think we are all coming to the point where we can put it into persepctive and not live and breathe debt everyday. Such a relief and very liberating to know that you are doing something about it and the situation will get better.
I got a little p***d off with one of my CCs as I paid extra off the debt this month as I did well on ebay and they have reintroduced late fees and interest on the account - Have learnt a hard lesson on that one. If I get to the position of having more cash in future, I 'll pop it into a savings account until I can clear a whole debt. - Just got to resist the temptation to spend it!
Submitted my Court Papers this week against Barclays - got a little jumpy after reading Martin's warning that Banks are making noises at reducing costs - thought I'd better get my act together on that one - so now we see who blinks first.

Hey JoJo!
Im doing fine, getting bugged by MBNA again, they refuse to accept the dmp, keep making stupid suggestions like sell your house (why, with no equity, what good would it do) Dont think they care what they say, just want you to cough up more money. They have frozen interest for now, but get a £12 late fee every month!
Shame about your CC putting charges back on, maybe you could appeal against it?
Been reading scary stories about bailiffs on the forums. It seems ironic that the one debt where they treat debtors incredibly badly is for council tax. I can understand if it is deliberate non paying, but when people are in financial difficulty, why are the consequences so harsh and the process so inflexible?
I feel a letter to my MP coming on!
Hope all is well with you all, spring is on its way!

Nah, I have got the money from the olympic challenge so Im going to just pay it. Was hoping for a weekend away at easter, but Im going to cancel that. Have put the rest towards debts already. Was looking forward to having a bit of a break, but I guess it is back to the ebaying, surveys & matched betting to try & make it up.....
Oh well, such is life!
Hmmm I wonder if I can make enough by Easter?Proud to be dealing with my debts :j

Hi Brassicks
Yup, just got another one from them as well, last chance, legal action, etc. Have a great big file of letters from them now, with different approaches & asking for different amounts. Im tired of telling them the same thing......I really wish I had the money to make them go away, but I havnt so just have to get through it. If all my creditors were like this I would go bankrupt or try an IVA, as I couldnt stand that amount of harrassment!!Proud to be dealing with my debts :j

Hi everyone, things seem to be ticking along with steps being made in the right direction for us all.
I had a late defence filed by Barclays in my claim which infuriates me - if the court say 28 days, it should mean 28 days. Not 29..... So now I have the allocation questionnaire to complete this week and send back
We have a CC with MBNA and I long for the day that it is gone. Currently all DH's overtime goes directly to MBNA in overpayments to try and get rid of them once and for all. Taking out that card was one of the biggest mistakes we made... and double
