Only having a small wedding, we didnt have a first dance tune
However at the registrars office we had "Praise You" by Fat Boy Slim played whilst we were signing the register0 -
Walked in to pipes
We had a piper too, he played as all the guests arrived and then played us out with 'Highland Cathedral', i adore that song. For those who havent heard it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oieFS785QPk Brings a tear to my eye every time i hear it.
While we signed the register our good friend sang 'Amazing Grace' A cappella. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I walked in to the Portuguese Love Theme from Love Actually, for signing the register we had 'Heartbeats' by Jose Gonzalez, 'Better Together' by Jack Johnson and 'Hoppipolla' by Sigur Ros, and 'At Last' by Etta James was 4th in the list for that but I don't think it got played in the end, although I can't remember as I was mainly concentrating on smiling for all the photos people were taking! Then we walked out to 'Everything' by Michael Buble.
Our first dance song (although played by a live band rather than off a cd/iPod) was 'Iris' by The GooGoo Dolls:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

When I married my ex, I chose "My Guy" by Mary Wells. We were married for 20 years and at a family party a few years after we divorced, by coincidence we were both without our partners. We promised each other a dance, but when we got around to actually getting up to walk to the dance floor some time later - the song being played was "Love really hurts without you.":rotfl:
Needless to say we sat that one out!
Mum and Dad had "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" and they've been married 60 years! :T0 -
