So Amazing Luther Vandross0

Our first dance was Heaven sung by DJ Sammy and second was Is This Love? by Whitesnake.
I walk down the aisle to With Arms Wide Open by Creed and we walked out to I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles.
We had instrumental versions of Nothing Else Matters and Everlong while we were signing the register.
The music was the most difficult thing for us as we love our music and it was really important that the words and music reflected us and our relationship. It took ages for us to decide.0 -
well dh and I can't remember what our first dance was ( 29 years ago this Sept)
BUT
the BEST dance we had was to Tight Fit - the Lion Sleeps Tonight !!!
we had a FAB DJ and he had us all doing a rude dance to it- we were all in a circle holding onto the person in front - like in a Conga
but it was strictyl man/woman/man/woman and the ladies had to hold the mens "parts" and the men had to have their hands over the ladies boobs !
it would probably be outlawed today ( PC Brigade) - but it was such an ice breaker and SO funny!0 -
Ours was When You Tell Me That You Love Me by Diana Ross (the original one by her not the one with Westlife)0

Ahh lovely memories!
I walked in to "kissing You" by Des'ree, had everlong and tired of you while signing the register walked out to "you and me song" by the wannadies, and our first dance was "Happy Together" everyone sung along and had a circle of friends and bridal party around us, the song makes me smile every single time I hear it!If you're afraid of the big bad Woolfe....beware of the Mrs!:rotfl:
Moved into our first home 31.12.10:jLoving our little House on a Hill:D0 -
we never had a wedding song as had such a small wedding. but were wanting to renew our vows and when we do i'd love the bruno mars song - just the way you are. As hubby said it is excatly how he feels about me , and he said it is just like me.
a couple of the verses which are just beautifulWhen I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are
Yeah her lips her lips
I could kiss them all day if she'd let me
Her laugh her laugh
She hates but I think it's so sexy
She's so beautiful
And I tell her everyday
Yeah I know I know
When I compliment her
She won't believe me
And it's so, it's so
Sad to think that she don't see what I see
i just love it, didn't think much of the song when i first heard it. then hubby said when he hears it , it like it written about me from him. i guess it the kinda song every man wishes they wrote.

Another one who had Muse Feeling Good. It was an easy decision for us. Its an absoultely amazing song. Neither of us are particularly soppy romantic and weren't impressed with "traditional" first dance songs. The other possible thought was Where's your head at? Basement Jaxx - just because it sums up how we interact with each other, but we didn't think it was quite suitable to for a semi-traditional wedding.
We sat their during the wedding breakfast and turned to each other and went - "What are we actually going to do for the dance?" So we promptly made it up so it wouldn't look so bad to everyone. It went something along the lines of close hold shuffle, 1st chorus underarm spin, back to close hold shuffle, 2nd chorus spin out .... etc.
I will add, he has limited sense of rhythm but I dragged him to a couple of Salsa lessons (I'd done a year of lessons before I met him) it did help. I think I was leading though....0 -
Shania Twain - from this moment, whenever i hear it I think back to the day.
Our 2nd dance that everyone else danced with us too was
boy meets girl - waiting for a star to fall
I love that song too and couldnt decied which to have so had best of both worlds this song always reminds me of all my friends and family having a good time.
last dance Lonestar - Amazed
Just go with your heart don't let other people tell you which song to have it is your special song and will always be known as youe wedding song.
Hope this helps.:j0 -
