Hi all sorry i havnt been on much at all .. in fact rarely , life seems to have that same habit of getting in the way of living, NL sorry i havnt sent my c.v to you yet been hectic here
hubby started work , he seems to like the new job , he is also hoping he gets to keep it permanantley, we went to London as a family mil, fil, son oh and me ... it wasnt fun ... it was very stressful, fil was such a child, he didnt want to be there he wanted to be in Benidorm and boy did he let us know it, i wanted to send him to the naughty corner ... he wouldve had to have sat there for 67 minutes though probably got piles or something rofl...all we heard out of him was i dont like London i hate London you wouldnt get this in benidorm , the weather is warmer there arrrrggggghhhhhh
hubby was craving alcohol ... its the usual with him, we go on holiday ( camping etc) and he automatically thinks ahhhh drink ... so he was craving and due to craving alcohol and finding his dad hard to deal with ( we all were) he became irritating moaning etc all the time ... i suggested to him after it that he behaved like his dad ... he agreed and said his dad annoyed him so much but instead of him telling his dad to stop he just copied him trying to get his dad to see how annoying he could be ... well that annoyed the rest of us said i and appeared only gave your dad seeming justification ( in his mind) for behaving like that ...which made him worse
son nearly got into a fight *sigh* which incidently i could see his point in, he went to a shop to order a pizza to eat and the guy was disrespectful to him calling him a scottish thug, tramp etc .... he also disappeared out at night and didnt return till 3/4 am ....which is fine if you are not sharing a room with your parents ( he shared with us to keep costs down) so hubby was getting irritated at being kept awake by son coming in and out ... son had also phoned me cause he was lost ( i seemed to have been given the role of organiser)
the only person that was actually ok to go on holiday with was mil .... and me and her have a long long history of not getting on with each other ... she was actually ok though ... although she was understandably getting fed up with fil and also she pushed herself too far due to her hip issues ( trying not to be an inconvenience to everyone) so i would have to insist on us all stopping occasionally when i saw she was getting sore ... we had coffe in some interesting places
i became the organiser, i was asked all the questions all the time and had to take the lead on everything so it wasnt really a break for me ... i cant wait to do it again either just myself or with friends or with oh ( when he is better) as i do love London ... only for a few days though as it is insane far too loud etc ... but i do love it
other than that its been get hubby to work , try and sort sons house out , and now i have started on our house ... it is such a mess .. it has been for ages but we have been living with it on the proviso that when son leaves we get it gutted .. been waiting since the end of july for son to get his stuff organised and i reckon it will be december before he goes ... so we are starting with ours now
money wise ... London was very very expensive .... i will get my bill in in a few weeks so i will know exactly how expensive london was .... car has its m.o.t ( yikes) we still are slowly getting further into debt, but it will go down ... we have had to use visa for everyday living things like diesel etc so it really has went up ... i will have a proper understanding of the situation on the 15th of next month ... fingers crossed it isnt as bad as i dread0 -
well sorted out a load of d.v.d's today to get rid of ... i had looked up on music magpie how much i wouldve got for them 30p each ... i dont think so would rather give them away ... so i have a load of d.v.ds to give away to a charity shop tomorrow ... tidied up a wee bit so that the place is slightly ( very slightly) becoming more organised ... still a total mess ... but slightly more organised0

hello EL
I keep reading this and swearing blind I have posted but I clearly havent. I am sure what ever I wrote in my imagination was amazingly insight and supportivebut now, well now I have had my horlicks and my only achievement of the day was to build a gerbil cage......so you know this is going to be grim .
I am glad you are back, have missed and am deeply impressed you didn't kill anyone on your holiday
Love Buffy xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
hey buffy ... yeah i have done that many times myself lol ..
yep ebay can be a faff i just feel with these d.v.d's books etc that i want rid of them .. some of them are worth quite a bit of money ( books that is) but after the whole issue i had with amazon i dont think i want to take the risk there either so some lucky student is going to get a load of study books much cheaply ...
it's time to gut the house and make way for my new life ... which no longer includes universityi feel that it's time to get rid of the old me and time to start with a new me ... as my son would say " time to stop spinning the wheel of excuses " i know that is going to take a lot of work and i know that i have had so so so many things stopping me that i have to stop all my plans for sort out then try to get back to where i want to be
so today i have a cheaque to put in the bank ... it isnt for much but every penny counts , i also got a wee bit extra on my wages than i had counted on ( had forgotten i had done 10 hours of overtime) so i have put that towards a shop card that we had to take out when hubby went back to work ( he now has to wear a shirt, tie and smart trousers etc ... he had none) it isnt an awful lot but it is a start
i'm almost excited to get to next month to see where we are financially so that we have a proper understanding of our debt and how we are going to get out of it0 -
Hi Elantan,
I looked at selling on Music Magpie and thought the prices were ridiculous. I ended up sticking a few DVDS and games on Play.Com, and they sold. They were in good condition though. Last week I sold 2 DVDs and one game on Play.Com. I made a bit more money than if I had put them on Ebay.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]
