thanks bob .... were at the stage of wait and see now ... he has handed the form in ... they need to decide from here ... i cant claim as i am working so that option is out yikes ..fingers crossed he gets back to work soon otherwise he goes on to even less pay in a few weeks ... he has barely worked this year ... although tbh he wasnt fit to work it ... he is gettng better now though ... slowly we can see a difference ... he no longer drinks at all ( after the last carry on ) he has recognised that he cant drink if he ever wants me back ... i wont put up with that anymore i deserve better ... i think he has also recognised that he needs to give it up for his physical and mental health as well though ... dont get me wrong this issues whilst the drink was deff involved it wasnt to fully blame... i think woulve happened anyway ... looking back i can see it was just waiting to happen .... his personality type and the way he has been for years i think has something to do with it ... the fact he has been in pain for years with his job been swallowing painkillers like they were going out of fashion ... the pain killers wernt working but the drink did ..its deff been a cycle
anyhoo my wages are due in on wednesday so i will see what else i can pay off

Hope it all gets sorted el, these things can be a bit of a toss up whether they are paid out or not. well good and bad news .... the insurance has agreed to pay out ... so that is something ... however he got a phone call today from the dr's telling him they needed to see him (he had went for blood tests yesterday) ... so off he went ... some of the blood results have given cause for alarm ...
the dr has informed him that his muscles are breaking down ...that something is attacking his muscle structure ... this aint good .... he has heart issues as it is without adding more to the mix .. he has now been taken off of his heart medication as this is one of the side effects and told to do absolutley no excercise at all till monday ... the dr said that his body is currently that of someone that has just ran a marathon but never actually trained for it ... he mentioned one figure of 1300 but husband isnt sure what exactly that is about ... his cholesterol levels are also high but the dr has said he cant give him anything for that either as one of the side effects is muscle damage, the dr has also informed him that he will not be going back to work any time soon ... which means that in a few weeks when his wages drop even more were gonna be up !!!!!! street without a paddle ...
i know everything will be ok but i think for half an hour or so i need to feel sorry for myself ( and husband ofcourse) it has been non stop for so long now and i am so exhausted with it all0 -
Yes, give in to it for a bit....but set yourself a time limit.
Feel sorry for yourself all day if you want, but before you head to sleep tell yourself that you have done that, and that when you wake you will be positive and ready to face whatever comes your way xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi El
Long time lurker.
I'm sorry to hear your DH's wages are going to drop down even further, my DH had some time off earlier this year and was on SSP .
Will your DH be going on to SSP?
Not wanting to be nosey but if your joint income this year is going to be under £17,000 then you will be able to get some Working Tax Credits. If you are quite a bit under this then you will get a bit more.
SSP is only payable for 28 weeks (which may already be counted in the sick pay he has already received) - once he gets to 28 weeks he can claim Employment Support Allowance.

Sorry things are getting you down el,
would it be worth speaking to a benefits advisor, your local council may have one, to work out what you can claim.
Hope OH gets things sorted soon. wonder what the figure was, its too high for most things and if its calories its a low figure for a man.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
