oh shucks sorry to hear that you missed out. I guess monitoring OH on the tablets was sufficient distraction from your everyday things. If you see hwat i mean.

well i phoned up the people we usually work with at the soup kitchen they were very understanding thankfully ...

today i had a big big plate of veggies for dinner they were delicious ... i love veggies ...

money wise ok how are we doing ... well the el household has 10 days left till pay day and £46 to get us there .. the £46 included diesel which is kinda scary as we have well overspent on the diesel bill this month were sitting on the quarter tank and i have 4 night shifts to go and one trip to the theatre in glasgow and several trips to different houses to check and see eveything is ok ( two different households are away on holiday) ... now thankfully i can just slightly divert one time to check one house but other than that we are going to have to travel for it and it is approx a 20 mile round trip ( maybe more maye less ... not sure )

so i reckon i will be atleast £20 in diesel (possibly more) then that leaves us £26 left for food for ten days .... on the plus side we do have some things in the freezer so that should last us a few days ... it may not be tasty but it is food

then on the 15th of the month the debt busting can begin again and i can get all excited about asset planting and debt destroying .... yay

In full MSE/hypno mode, I'll say this.

Make a list of what you've got in the fridge, freezer and cupboards and menu plan! It's amazing how much food you do have in the house at any one time. Grocery challenge along with the meal challenge.

I generally find that so long as I've got pasta, rice and some tinned tomatoes and herbs, I can make something.

thats how it is gonna be gilligan ... exactly how it is gonna be ... store cupboard challenge here we come .... we cant afford to go deeper into debt so we need to crawl out of it ... were doing that inch by inch (or should that be % by % lol) and slowly building up a future so store cupboard it is for ten days with spends only on milk bread etc i reckon ...

might sit and play with figures again later lol .... i like to see the debt numbers go down and the asset numbers go up easily pleased me lol

nine days and £46 to go ... i dont for see us needing anything today but i do know we will need to get diesel tomorrow ..thats me back at work so it's a must

have transferred the savings all £250 of it into my new i.s.a and for the rest of the year i plan on putting the asset money into the mortgage to make the money work better for us ... but .... any extra money i will be putting into the i.s.a ... i couldve put the £25 into the mortgage but i wouldve had to have put the money on the 15th into the i.s.a either way its only a matter of 9 days interest so just did what was easier

hubby seems to be getting aggitated he wants to hit someone and he is still feeling disorientated ... this concerns me for two reasons ... he cant go back to work wanting to hit someone that just wont do ... and either the meds aint working or he is having bad side effects with them .... so it is a bit of a concern tbh

Good news on the money. Sorry to hear about Mr El, he does seem to be having a rough time with the meds.

No, that doesn't sound great. Why not give the gp a call and have a chat about it to see if this is a "normal" side effect, which will settle, or whether something needs to be changed sooner?

i dont think it is normal tbh ... he had these same feelings on the last lot of tablets hence the reason the dr upped the dose .... so he is effectively still feeling the same but on a higher dose ... his sits and spends alot of his time physically shaking and feeling rotten ... i am a bit concerned tbh as we go away soonish and we would really like things to have settled down by the time we go ...

he is planning on phoning the gp today but is expecting to be told the same as every other time he has phoned .... it's early days yet they will take a while to work etc etc

the thing is though he is suffering with the side effects as well quite badly ... although not as badly as he did with the first lot of meds

ok personal opinion here and not medically backed ... i would rather he came off the tablets all together ... they aint working and the side effects are making him much much worse .... from the little research i have done on these kind of medications only 25% of people that take them have a positive effect from them and even at that the medical profession arnt exactly sure why or how they have a positive effect ... for me ( and as i say totally personal opinion here) there are many other things he could try ... diet excercise meditation massage reiki etc etc ... when i do give hubby a massage or a reiki treatment he feels much much better ... have done hypnotherapy with him as well and that seemed to help him immensley he fell asleep soon after me doing it ( he couldnt sleep as he was that aggitated)

thanks for your thoughts squizz and hypno

I can see your point there El - if he is worse on the tablets than he was without them. How long has he been taking them? If he was to stop he might still need to come off them slowly in case of withdrawal symptoms.
