Thanks Hypno .... It is only once a year the group get a tutor in but to be honest with you i was concerned about going anyway ( and said so to the group) as i really am a beginner and this is a square basket which is a much more advanced stage than i am at .... I was told not to worry i would still benefit from the day and have a basket at the end of it ... But tbh my suspicions tell me that it wouldnt be my basket more some tutors basket that i had a small hand in ... I do feel rotten for letting the group down but i just dont have the money and i know i would spend the day grudging every minute of it

Cheers for the heads up about heathrow as well that would make life easier for us camping is ok but it is very weather dependant

As always thanks for confirming my concerns and helping me out

So....by the time the tutor visits next year, you will be at the correct stage to benefit from the input they bring. Grab yourself a sealed jar, and put £1 a week away in it between now and then and you will have next year's tutorial fully covered without any hassle whatsoever!

Hi El, good advice from Hypno (as always!) - you wouldn't enjoy it if you were feeling resentful about the money. Sure there will sometimes be other people who can't make it to these things for various reasons.

I would have said the same as hypno. It sounds like they are only saying you would get something out of the day, so that the money is split more ways....or am I being a bit too cynical tonight. lol

have had a lovely weekend ... but this morning was wide awake till after 5am which is a bummer ... but the thoughts that were running through my head were all financial related ( and a nightmare about beluga whales ... i think seaworld is praying on my mind ... have had a few of them now)

every month i am going to be putting 10% of income into our house into what i am calling asset planting ... now i plan on learning day trading and i plan on learning investing etc with this money but until i do i dont want to risk it ... so i was going to put it into an i.s.a ... however the current i.s.a that i have is producing a mere 3.1% which is ok not too bad ... but i am paying 4.60% on my mortgage and by the time you add tax etc deductions it works out at 6.25% (well it did when tax was at 17.5% not so sure now) so effectively i can shave double off my mortgage interest compared to what i would make in interest off of my i.s.a ... very rough figures ( as i havnt worked it all out yet) i could make £90 in interest on my i.s.a or save £180 in interest on my mortgage

the money would be there until i am ready to start trading etc this may be a year it may be more who knows ( depends on how fast i learn) but i am thinking as long as i ensure that i keep in my head it is for asset planting ( i like the tree analogy) i should be ok

in other news ... mr el has slowly settled in with his new tablets ... he wakes up and feels very disorientated but slowly settles as the day goes on .. we were taken out for dinner last night to an all you can eat buffet mr el filled his boots then he ate my share of my boots then every one elses at the table ... he said " i aint had chinese for so long and dont know when i am next gonna have one so i am gonna stay here and eat till the place shuts" ( we dragged him away eventually lol) then last night was in agony ha ha ha ha thats what ya get for being greedy

today's plans ( now that i am finally up) gardening maybe even get some of my tattie seeds in the ground yay
  • Lol, he must have felt deprived at the lack of Chinese food :) Your plans sound good El. x
