Low Gi encourages you to get rid of all white flour based products and use wholewheat and rye!
On top even those you are encouraged to eat less then 2 slices of bread a day...!
Because I am doing this for health... I can't even cheat and have a breadstick

MIA for the last couple of days it was DH's birthday yesterday which we spent the morning in A&E. He passed out in the bathroom at 5.45am and had some sort of fit so DD panicked and called an ambulance, he cut his eye open on the bath as he fell and has a lovely shiner coming up. What a birthday for him
Considering he was the only patient in the waiting room and was brought in by ambulance we had an hours wait  The paramedics were fantastic : But when we got to the hospital the triage nurse was an arrogant beatch, we got in to see the doctors at 8pm - the first lot were a couple of students who were very thorough and checked everything bless them they were lovely and then he was checked by a consultant who again was great and he said he could go home after his eye was glued, but I had to make an appointment to see our GP asap.
So all in all it was a birthday DH won't forget in a hurry.
His boss was great and told him not to rush back, so he had yesterday off, he has gone back today though but will not be doing anything too strenuous or going up ladders which he had planned this week.
I have a hospital visit in Harrow on Thursday so we will go for a meal on the way back home as a nice treat.
Well I had better go and get caught up on the housework have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

JG I have just cut down at the moment to one slice of Rye in the morning and then no more bread but my IBS has been so bad I think I will have to cut it out altogether
I am thinking maybe of having eggs and beans something like that and as I work from home its not too bad to prepare.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Feeling a bit down today, have had to claim JSA which I know is OK for many people (and I really don't mean any offence by saying this), but for me I just feel like a bit of a fraudI've been looking so hard for a job but I just seem to be coming up against a brick wall so much, it's really frustrating
My sister signed me into her gym yesterday to cheer me up so I pounded my worries out on the treadmill for 20 mins (2.5km in that time -), after which I did the cross trainer and the bike, followed by a nice swim. It did cheer me up and I slept much better last night for it.
Not much OS going on today, WM is going on shortly and I have a multitude of dishes to wash. Dinner is sausage and bean casserole (was meant to be yesterday's, but was substituted for cheese and toast!!), this will go in the SC before I pop out at lunch to ANOTHER agency interview. Then I'm off out tonight for a freebie night out - very MS :money:
Hugs and spoons where they are needed

I wouldn't cut the bread right away... Apparently the first week you get 'carb' withdrawel and it can make things like IBS get much worse. I find that going to things with seeds etc always used to make mine worse too... BUT right now it's better then it's been in years!
I can't have Baked Beans (because of other health issues, I have been told to go under 100g carb a day along with the Low Gi and half a can has 20g carbs )
At the weekend for Breakfast I like Oatcakes on Saturdays, and Sundays I eat Sausage or bacon with scrambled or poached eggs and tinned tomatoes (vinagary food lowers the Gi of the whole plate).
When this job finishes at Easter I am planning on eating more things like Poached Eggs and Tomatoes for Breakfast, and cutting the Rye Bread some!
I keep getting told that Yogurt/Fruit is a nice breakfast... I can see myself climbing the wall with hunger if I tried that!!!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Half term so I'm not at work (don't usually work on Wednesday anyway). Raining AGAIN......Dollycat thinks I can make it go away so is wandering around crying and looking for mischief-whoops better wash up the pan that I fried off the beef in before putting it in the slow cooker!
Beef casserole in the slow cooker, washing drying on the clotheshorse, bathroom cleaned.....mmmm maybe a cuppa and a sit on here. Love half term as my head feels clear. Was very busy at the beginning of January so nice to have a rest now.
OH took my little car today as it was on the front of the drive.....saving petrol as he gets paid on Friday so I can't go anywhere much as no money in purse. Spent it on gin last night.
Hugs to all who need them and and good luck to househunters and those looking for jobs.
Have a good day.

MancMillyMolly I know where you are coming from with the JSA. I've had to claim twice... they treat you like a criminal. I am an honest hard working person... who would rather be in work. But they just treated me as though I didn't want a job and couldn't be bothered to even try and find one! It was even worse the second time around (even though the first time I claimed for a week then landed a job) as I was a rapeat offender.
((hugs)) I hope you find something really soon xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240
