Our neighbour's cat has a habit of snuggling down in our shed if the door has been left open even if it is only for 10 mins and he is in there like a shot. he was once in there for 2 days before we realised - now we check before we close the door.

You're welcome JG - just remember not to overdose on tuna when you do conceive!! Another annoying rule seeing as tuna and mackeral are my latest cravings!!!! I am literally like an addict as my Mum is watching me like a hawk since I told her how much tuna I was allowed in a week!

I was gutted when I read 2 tins a week

    Used to be 4 :(

Well the pate is the size/weight of 1 tin, and it will last me the week... and I normally never eat more then 1 tin a week anyway... so should be fine, but will be careful :D

What's this about Mackerel??? I love Mackerel!!!!

  • Afternoon all

I have been MIA for few days cos my friend was staying - hope you are all well.

I had a lovely time with my friend. On sunday night we just chilled at mine and caught up, Monday night we went to the out of town shopping centre then had a chinese, and last night we went to the pub with a group of my friends which was lovely :D. She caught the train home this morning.

Work has been good this week :) kids have been fab - although I've found out that 2 of them are now a couple, which is a no-no, but they came and told me straight away which I was pleased with and we have set some ground rules which if they stick to should be ok. Ihad my 2nd observed teaching today and I aced it again :D I got an 'excellent' grade, last time was a 'good' grade :j:j So pleased!

I've skived off work this afternoon :o it's half term at uni but I've still taken my study leave afternoon as I have coursework to do. I'm owed time back from last week so I don't feel guilty about it!

OS wise - WM is on with towels at moment, that's bout it as flat is tidy :)

    Have a good day all

    To all you expectant ladies
When I had my two (21 and 16 )DD was 8lb 9oz and DS was 7lb 13oz We didn't worry about all this carp they tell you now and I smoked then as well my mother had 5 of us and smoked, and ate whatever she wanted in the 60's

I think you should let common sense prevail just avoid soft cheeses such as brie and camembert, avoid raw eggs etc as for tuna and mackerel it is good brain food and I lived on the stuff

    Hello people,

I hope you don't mind if I ask a question as a bit of a lurker.

I've bacon in my fridge that went out of date on Monday. It smells ok and looks ok. I think I'm going to use it tonight. What do you think? Will it be ok?!

    Thanks

  • Butterfly Brain I like your advice the best x

After 3 miscarriages though I am going on the side of caution with most things (my sister has had 3 successful pregnancies and eats most things no matter what they say!) so I know it's more common sense then anything else!

If it smells funny and looks really greenish and slimy then I would't touch it but otherwise I am with you, I'd eat it.

Mia is less than 1 year old (we think as she was rescued cat). Have searched garden and double checked the house. Looked in garage, will knock neighbours doors tonight if she's not turned up by then. Been calling for her, even went outside with the kids hoping that she's hear the usual racket and come back. It's not raining anymore and she's still not turned up :(

I am sure she will be fine and will turn up soon, xxxx

Butterfly, how frightening for you all, hope he is ok xx
  • She'll come home and wonder what all the fuss was about... people said that to me years ago when my indoor cat went missing for 4 days... she came back as though nothing had happened.

I would definatly knock on doors tonight if you are worried x

Just so you know that the council, the vets and the rescue centers all have scanners... so its most likely you would have had a phone call if anything had happened...

What kind of a collar does she have?
